The contract
between the Hirer and the Owner. Dorset Coastal Cottages (D.C.C.) act
as letting agents. The Hiring is for holiday purposes only.
D.C.C.
have taken great care to provide accurate
information, however changes can occur. All descriptions, written or
oral, are given in good faith; D.C.C. cannot be held liable for them.
D.C.C.
take no liability for happenings outside their control and no liability
will fall on the Owner or D.C.C. for the effects of extreme weather,
power cuts, water shortages, gas failure, castal or farming disasters etc. or the use of garden play equipment.
Every
attempt is made to ensure the house and equipment are in good working
order. If the Hirer is not satisfied with some aspect, contact the housekeeper
IMMEDIATELY. If they cannot remedy the fault they will contact the Owner
or D.C.C. The owner reserves the right to enter the property to do urgent
works.
Neither
D.C.C. nor the Owner accept liability for any loss or damage to the
Hirers' possessions or motor car whilst at the property.
The Hirer
agrees to take good care of the property and contents: it must be left
in a clean and tidy condition, linen must be taken care of and towels
not removed from the house.
Pets, where permitted, must be kept under
control, not be allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms nor be left
unattended. Please do not allow your dog to foul the garden and ensure that any fouling is removed by the time or your departure.
Hirers must pay for breakages and will be held accountable
for any damage, missing items and extra cleaning (defined as time taken
in excess of the normal turn-around and would include:
a) dirty dishes/dishwasher
not emptied; b) cooker/hob/oven with burned on food. c) furniture, if
moved, not put back into its original position; d) excessive quantities
of rubbish requiring desposal.
Family groups accepted, non-family groups accepted at our discretion.
A Cautionary
Deposit of £150 against damage/extra cleaning will be required
for most Christmas/New Year bookings, all bookings for 4, 5 or 6 bedroom properties
and other bookings at our discretion.
In the
event of the property not being available (eg. Fire or some other disaster),
D.C.C. will notify the Hirer as soon as possible, offer a full refund
or try to find other acceptable accommodation. D.C.C./Owner liability
is limited to the rents received.
Maximum
Party Size at the Property Must not be Exceeded.
Any
breach of this condition will result in admission being refused or immediate
expulsion without compensation for lost rent. Hirer's may not have more
than 2 visitors at the property at any one time who must depart by 11pm.
This condition may only be varied by express written permission of the
Owner, obtained in advance.
Cancellation
1. Any cancellation must be advised by telephone and confirmed in
writing.
2. If advised over two months prior to holiday, D.C.C. Will refund
the deposit less £60 and booking fee of £18.
3. If two months prior to the first day of the holiday the balance
of the rent is not received D.C.C. will assume cancellation. THE
HIRER IS STILL LIABLE FOR THE BALANCE OF THE RENT.
4.
If cancellation occurs within two months prior to holiday, D.C.C. will
attempt to relet and if successful deduct £60 and booking fee
of £18, plus additional advertising costs before making a refund.
5.
Rental charge does not include cancellation insurance. Please
make your own arrangements.
