Surrounded by lush Dorset countryside and with the Jurassic Coast just a 4-mile drive away, this quaint cottage offers up an idyllic place to stay for a family or group of friends
Take a break in this end-of-terrace cottage and explore the serene surrounding farmland and picturesque coastline on one of the many walking trails this part of Dorset has to offer. At the end of the day, return to your home-from-home, kick back in the sunroom and relax with the family.
Creating a warm and welcoming space, the living room’s most prominent feature is the roaring wood burner, perfect for those deep winter evenings. There are two large, bright sofas and a leather armchair for seating, with homely touches throughout. The kitchen is a quirky space with plenty of storage for snacks and produce, and two bright windows allow plenty of light to pour in. Sit up at the breakfast bar for a morning cuppa or head to the sunroom where there is a dining table for family meals seating six guests. Upstairs on the first floor, there are three bedrooms, the first of which is a king-size which has access to the pretty roof terrace where you can soak up the sunshine. In addition, there is a second king-size room and a double each with its own style. Completing the property inside is the family bathroom which has a feel of luxury with a wooden panelled bath, a dark grey shelving unit and terracotta tiles across the walls. Outside is a covered patio area accessed via the sunroom or the kitchen, which has a set of garden furniture for dining alfresco and views over to the neighbouring community allotment.
The Jurassic Coast sits just four miles away, offering a fantastic day out for all the family with fossil hunting opportunities and plenty of places to stop off for a bite to eat. Visit Lulworth Cove for a beautiful day at the beach or Durdle Door to see the iconic rock formations and take a dip in the turquoise waters. For those in search of a challenge, why not hike up Chaldon Hill, one of the highest hills in the Southwest, or take a steadier trail along the South West Coast Path?
