This lovely house feels like a home from home, with quirky, unique touches making it very welcoming. The pretty lounge is bright and beautifully decorated, with interesting art on the walls, comfortable furniture and a Smart TV – great if you want to stay in and have a movie night. After a day exploring you can bring back your Dorset produce and put together a gourmet meal in the fabulous kitchen/diner. This bright space is a pleasure to spend time in, and has a dining table at one end so everyone can gather together and linger afterwards, plus French doors to the garden. On warm days, throw them wide open and enjoy that outside/in feeling. When you’re tired, head upstairs to find the two bedrooms, a king-size (with a four-poster bed and en-suite shower) and a twin (super-king-size on request). For long soaks there’s also a family bathroom. Enjoy the sun with a drink or a meal in the charming courtyard garden, where there’s outdoor furniture and an awning that helps protect you, if necessary, from the elements.
The popular seaside resort of Swanage is set on Dorset’s incredible Jurassic Coast and boasts all kinds of things to see and do. Its golden, sandy beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing and sandcastle-building, while for the more adventurous there’s a choice of water sports on offer. Explore intriguing shops, stroll the Victorian pier, try restaurants serving freshly caught seafood and homemade ice cream or hop on the steam train and see the atmospheric ruins of Corfe Castle.
