Enjoy a seaside holiday at this beautifully renovated terraced property in Swanage, located just 0.5 miles from the family-friendly beach. You’ll have a fantastic selection of pubs, shops and cafés within 500 metres, and Swanage’s restored Victorian pier is around 0.5 miles away. Comfortably accommodating six guests over its three bedrooms, this welcoming home is wonderful for a family trip or a holiday among good friends.

The three-storey property has a light and airy feel and tasteful decorative touches, such as local artwork on the walls. In the lounge, a wooden floor and comfortable seating create an attractive spot for family film nights with the TV and DVD player. Next to that is a dining room with a parquet floor and a good-sized table – plus some board games to keep you busy. The kitchen features cream units and wooden work surfaces for a country kitchen aesthetic. You’ll also have a second lounge with a TV, DVD player and games console on the second floor – excellent for teens. Outside, the decked garden is a real sun trap and is ideal for reading, sipping coffees and enjoying BBQ dinners with fellow guests.

For an easy stroll, head across the Swanage Downs towards Peveril Point (1 mile) for spectacular coastal views. You could even take a picnic and make a day of it, perhaps continuing along the popular South West Coast Path for a longer excursion. When it’s time to head further afield, the Isle of Purbeck offers plenty in the way of breathtaking scenery, such as the beautiful beach at Studland Bay (5.5 miles). Or you could check out historical sites like Corfe Castle (5.5 miles).

This was a fab home from home, light and airy with gorgeous features like the fireplaces, a brilliantly sized kitchen / diner area where we played cards while taking it in turns to cook and a lovely outside space. It was very family friendly - my children absolutely LOVED exploring the toys in both toy baskets (in dining room and top floor) whileRead more the adults had a go at some of the puzzles and I taught my daughter Connect 4. I also appreciated the well stocked plastic crockery / cups and the stairgate, which - even though the children are generally too old for one - it was good to use as the stairs were very steep. The location was great as well - right near the Black Swan and well stocked Spar shop and a nice walk into Swanage either past the church or down the High Street. The welcome pack a nice gesture and very appreciated - thank you. We hope to come back! Hide

We had a lovely, comfortable family holiday. The house was clean and perfectly equipped with games and books for the children to enjoy. The location is convenient for the town. We would consider booking this property again!

Note: there were no dishwasher tablets or washing tablets in the boxes, which was contrary to the folder instructions... but that is a very minor point, aside from that, very happy with the property..
