Family
Activities in Dorset
In many ways, things to do for families while on holiday in Dorset are covered in other sections. Nevertheless there are a good number of Dorset attractions, which are more family orientated. We are sure that children and teenagers (and their long-suffering parents?) will find enjoyment a plenty in the variety on offer from Monkey World, The Tank Museum to scaling the heights of Corfe Castle or Llama Trekking in Beaminster.
Remember too that all Dorset Coastal Cottages have a Favourite Things file in which the owner and then holidaymakers write in their favourite holiday activities. Other people’s experiences of Dorset can be a wonderful source of inspiration.

Weymouth Sea Life Centre
Weymouth SEA LIFE Park & Marine Sanctuary has launched a unique Turtle Sanctuary housing several captive-bred Green sea turtles from the Cayman Islands. This amazing new facility offers incredible views of these endearing, ancient animals and helps to raise awareness of the desperate plight of wild sea turtles, whose nest sites are being lost to tourist developments and whose numbers are in dramatic decline.
