VisitEngland Star Rating National Quality Assessment Scheme

Dorset Holiday Cottages Ltd. is part of the VisitEngland Quality Standards Scheme. The VisitEngland red rose logo (plus its stars) is very well known as it appears on virtually all hotels, guesthouses and B&B's. The scheme offers reassurance to our clients, especially those from overseas, that all of our properties adhere to the internationally recognised, English accommodation quality standards. This helps to improve bookings overall.

We have opted for the "Franchise Scheme" which requires 100% participation of all properties on our books but enables us to halve the normal VisitEngland Inspection Fee of £160.80 and save owners the Joining Fee of £87.00.

Thus, the only fee is the Annual Inpection Fee: £80.40 inc VAT.

The Franchise Scheme also enables us to train our own staff. This provides more flexibility in organising inspection dates and advising owners on changes they can make to mprove their rating. The rating achieved by your property will be displayed on the VisitEngland's affiliate websites with a link direct to your property's entry on the Dorset Holiday Cottages Ltd. websites. The rating will be displayed there as well as in our brochures. You may also purchase a VisitEngland sign to display at your property.

NB. The Scheme includes an annual assessment of Dorset Holiday Cottages Ltd. We currently have Quality Accredited Agency Status.

Client grading. In addition, we have an in-house grading system based on our Holiday Satisfaction Questionnaires which reflects client's actual experience of staying in the properties (see Prospective Owners booklet). These gradings complement the VisitBritain ratings which are generally facilities and standards based.
