Watersports & Boat Trips in Dorset

Dorset is an ideal county for enjoying the pleasures of water-based activity whether it is sailing, diving, surfing, swimming (in lovely isolated coves or by child friendly beaches) or a leisurely boat trip for a different perspective of the amazing Jurassic Coast.

Location of the 2012 Olympic Sailing at Weymouth, Portland has raised the profile of sailing tuition in Dorset above other locations – Devon and Cornwall.  All levels of ability are catered for along with inspiration from the National Sailing Academy, which trains the elite of the sport.

So if you want to learn to sail, scuba dive, kite surf, sea kayak or just paddle on the beach, Dorset has the coast line for you.

Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy

Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour are widely recognised as the finest sailing waters in the UK. This together with the development of the new purpose built, on-shore facilities have resulted in the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy being selected as the venue for the London 2012 Olympic sailing events.

WPNSA primarily offers its superb venue for events and training, but also operates a successful sailing school, an active members' club and welcomes everyone to enjoy its fantastic facilities.
