This year there are many well organised firework displays around the county, many with music and other attractions to keep the whole family entertained for the whole evening.
We would ask guests, who wish to enjoy fireworks, to attend an organised event as there are many thatched cottages that adorn our beautiful county, a stray firework could lead to disaster. Be safe and enjoy one of the many well organised events:
Bonfire and fireworks bonanza and 2 fire shows Funfair, stalls, bar and food. Ample parking.
From 18:00 – 23:00
£5 adults £2 over 14 children free
Bonfire (only) by the Beach at East Beach, West Bay, including Fireworks this year at 8.30pm . Starts at 5:30pm. There will be a Guy competition (judging starts 6pm) with prizes, and the winner lights the bonfire! Also a Bar, Live Music, and Burger stalls. Money raised will go towards a Christmas Tree for the Green.
Guy Fawkes Celebreations is one of the Borough’s biggest annual community events.
Many thousands of local children with their families will gather on Weymouth Esplanade to enjoy the Free Traditional Community Guy Fawkes Celebrations.
A wealth of family Guy Fawkes entertainment, including Fireworks, Guy Fawkes Competition, Fun Fair and Beach Bonfire.
The climax of the evening will be a fabulous Free International Fireworks Display over Weymouth’s moonlit bay.
Fairground on the Weymouth Pavilion forecourt opens at 3 pm.
Quad Bike Demonstration – Weymouth Beach 6.30pm.
Childrens Homemade Guy Fawkes Competition with judging at 6.45 pm in the Weymouth Pavilion Foyer, Beach bonfire lit at 7.40 pm and Fireworks at 8.00 pm.
Bonfire Night at Bovington Garrison Hosted by the British Army.

The Firework Extravaganza at Sherborne Castle is one of the most spectacular fireworks displays to be found!
Sherborne Castle hosts entertainments, live music, refreshments and food from 5pm.
The bonfire will be lit at 7pm and the fireworks will start at 7:30pm.

Bournemouth’s biggest and best-loved fireworks party with three top quality displays, including the famous White Knuckle – the South’s loudest and latest fireworks show. Dorchester Rugby Football Club’s spectacular fireworks night will take place again on the 5th of November.

Lyme Regis is the place to be on bonfire night. Join the crowds of people who come to enjoy a fantastic firework display over Lyme Bay and warm themselves by the bonfire on the beach at 18:45. Fireworks at 18.30. Further details: lymeregiscarnival.co.uk

This list is not a complete list and there will be other local events being held which are advertised locally.
It is illegal to let fireworks off in the street or a public place. You should only let fireworks off on private land such as your garden or on land where you have the landowner’s permission. It is UKFR’s understanding this means it is also illegal to let fireworks off on the beach (not to mention having the potential for fireworks to be mistaken for distress flares).
