This week our favourite guest blogger Martin Inwood of Lulworth Skipper (Dorset Cider) tells us all about The Melpash Show.
Melplash Show has something for the whole family, a great day out in Dorset showcasing the best the county has to offer. Including…
A food hall packed full of local goodies from over 40 local producers to taste, eat and take home. There are also cookery demonstrations and competitions + beer, wine and plenty of Local Cider! By The Sea Marquee promoting Dorset’s inshore fisheries where you can taste and buy fresh fish & shellfish from local waters.
The Countryside Arena will host a programme of rural presentations including hilarious Ferret & Terrier Racing, Gun Dogs display, Otters, Falconry display, thatching and spar making.
The Main Ring will feature a fabulous Heavy Horse Display from the largest Suffolk punch stud which is located in Dorset, a fond reminder of bygone times. Don’t miss the Motorcycle Display team either.
Livestock – watch the judging of the livestock classes & horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, ponies, horses & donkeys.
Visit the Handicraft Flower & produce marquees, enormous vegetables and beautiful displays of fruit veg and flowers, cookery and crafts.
Browse over 300 trade stands and have fun at the fairground!
