ALL SUMMER LONG
Circular Family Stroll – Explore the natural surroundings of the historic and environmentally sensitive Lulworth area. Learn about geology, ecology and ancient history as you stroll along gentle slopes. Upcoming dates in August include the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. Booking are advised as numbers are limited.
Fossil Forest Family Walk – Visit the Fossil Forest to learn about the 150 million year old rock formations. Return via the beach or for an extra challenge over Bindon Hill via the site of an Iron Age Hill Fort. Upcoming dates in August include the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.
Wildlife Photography Workshop – Ideal for adults wishing to develop and refine their photographic skills. Join award winning wildlife photographer, Simon Phelps, for some great insights and techniques. Saturday 9th August, 10am – 3pm. £25 per person.
Stone Carving Workshop – Design and carve your own piece of art from a solid block of Jurassic stone. In association with Burngate Stone Carving Centre. Sunday 17th and Monday 18th August, 10am – 1pm & 2pm-5pm.
Rock Pool School – Low tide reveals a different side of life – brilliant barnacles, awesome anenomies, slimy seaweed and crafty crabs to name a few. Sunny weekdays only! Check with Rangers on the day for running times.
Family Beach Art Competition Day – Let your creativity explode! Gather your own artefacts on the beach and go create. Prizes for the best in show! Wednesday 13th August 2pm-3pm at Lulworth Cove Beach.
