Sitting beneath vaulted ceilings, with exposed stonework adding character and charm, settle in the lounge area which makes up part of the open-plan living space. Great for keeping an eye on your pup and for socialising, the open-plan space also helps create a light, bright ambience so you can truly relax after days in the great outdoors. Grab a tipple from the fridge and cosy up on the sofas or fire up the BBQ and step outside for an al fresco feast. Enjoy balmy evenings on the patio before returning inside to snuggle up in front of the TV or shuffle a deck of cards and get competitive around the table. When it’s time for bed, the ground-floor twin has plenty of room to get comfortable and the galleried, first-floor bedroom is brimming with quirk and light, though you must take care of the sloping ceilings. Freshen up downstairs in the shower room, perfectly positioned near the door for rinsing off post-adventure, before heading out to explore.

Pack up a picnic, grab your swimmers and travel 4.5 miles to the golden sands of Weymouth. Backed by beautiful Georgian buildings, make your trip to the seaside a fun-filled, family-friendly day and visit the attractions, tuck into fish and chips and enjoy cooling off with a paddle or a refreshing dip in the sea. Myself, my mum, sister and little brother had the best time staying at bridge cottage visiting family in Weymouth. The cottage was very cosy, relaxing, very clean and had everything we needed. Myself and my family will definitely be returning :)

The t.v. for us was fiddly having three remote controls, even with the instructions! The cottage itself was perfect for our needs and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

We had a really lovely two weeks at this cottage. It covered all the basics for a comfortable stay. In the middle of a working farm so you have to expect a few early morning sounds but you get used to it. We actually miss hearing the horses being walked to the field!!

The cottage is comfortable and peaceful. We loved seeing and hearing the horses being taken to and from the fields. This is a working farm/stables and some may not relish the rustic smells - our dog also loved it. The owner was friendly and helpful when we met him. A lovely cosy cottage with everything you need in a great location. We enjoyed seeing the horses on the farm and even saw deer up in the field. The people on the farm were really friendly and very helpful when we had a slight problem. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a quiet relaxing break exploring Dorset.

Excellent for a small group. The upper room, in particular, is a real pleasure. Heating also first rate, and the insulation makes it really warm even on cold March days. Surrounded by horses as well as roe deer, emus and guinea fowl as well as the cattle.

We stayed in November and weather was unusually kind. Bridge Cottage is a lovely converted barn with a real home from home feel. Nice quality bedding and many useful touches like milk, tea, coffee, sugar and toilet rolls left. Situated on a working farm with livery stables, lovely dog walks and fine scenery.
