Sitting on the edge of the Cranborne Chase AONB, find yourselves with plenty of places to explore when calling this cottage home. The sociable, open-plan living space is perfect for spending time in before and after adventures and the grounds (shared with other properties on the complex) are fantastic for using when the sun shines bright and long. Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms with two pups welcome along too, escape to Dorset with family and friends and settle in at this welcoming bolthole.

Step up and into the heart of the home and begin filling the cupboards with provisions before you put the kettle on for a welcoming cup of tea. Exposed beams and tranquil tones create a characterful yet calm ambience which is perfect for all occasions and is a great space in which to enjoy quality time together. Settle on the sofa or head into the kitchen area to cook up a storm before popping open a bottle or two to raise a toast to the chef. Dine inside or out and devour delicious feasts together before challenging little ones to bounce the night away on the trampoline, score goals or swing and slide to their heart’s content (play equipment shared with other properties on the complex). After dinner and games, rinse off in your en-suite shower room before getting tucked under the covers for a relaxing night’s sleep.

Hop in the car and travel 30 miles to the beautiful city of Bath with its gorgeous architecture, variety of shops and eateries and waterside walks. Bath is well worth a day trip and has lots to offer for guests of all ages. Should you fancy something closer home, the historic town of Sherborne has a pair of castles and a majestic abbey to visit and is steeped in interesting history. 14 miles from your door, entertain little ones with a trip to the fantastic Longleat Safari Park.

The cottage was good and clean however the kitchen utensils were poor quality. Upon arrival the owners were no where to be seen and had no prior notification that they where themselves away so upon arrival we had no inclination as to which cottage we where in until another member of the organisation appeared. In terms of value for money I would sayRead more the cottage I over priced for what is available in terms of size etc. However the cottage and location its self are nice with a nice pub nearby Hide

We had a lovely week staying in Dairy (White Dove) Cottage, with our two adult sons as a special birthday family celebration. We were touched by the card and gift awaiting us, along with the farm eggs. On arrival I was concerned that there were so many cottages on the site ( I was hoping for a holiday away from my mid terrace house) but the other residents were very quiet. The site was well kept and in a handy location for day trips. There were pubs, restaurants and tea rooms very nearby and Shaftesbury was less than 10 minutes drive away.

Cottage very comfy but overlooked. Had to buy a cooking spoon but otherwise very well equipped.Large bed was bliss but twin ones need bedding addressing if it's adult using them. States Dog Friendly but there are a lot of rules and warnings about rights to charge for cleaning hairs etc, and all white bedrooms was so hard to keep clean when hairs geRead moret on clothes etc. Having to take dog round corner 3am for toilet trip when it's dark on uneven gravel bit scary. Did feel 2000 was too much to pay. Hide

A nice property, good location. The bedrooms are excellent one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in on a holiday property. Also each bedroom had its own bathroom which you do not find in many holiday properties.

If you have a dog, this is a wonderful choice, both of cottage and location. The owners have provided a paddock at the back of the cottages where the dogs can exercise off-lead early in the morning and late at night. It is around a 20 minute walk from the local village of Semley, which I also walked around each morning with my pooch. There is a daiRead morery farm in the village, that sells it's own delicious milk. The cottage is about an hour's drive from the Dorset coast and 10 minutes from Shaftsbury. Hide
