Enjoy a rural escape with a loved one and explore near and far, from the local walking trails to the delights of the Jurassic Coast (20 miles). With gorgeous outside spaces to enjoy, spend time basking in the last of the sun or stay warm on chilly evenings and cosy up by the wood burner effect electric fire in the welcoming lounge.

 

Sitting amid verdant grounds and gorgeous gardens, make yourselves right at home in this humble abode. Flooded with light from the French doors, with books and games piled high to entertain you, the lounge is a lovely space to spend time unwinding. Switch on the TV/DVD for a snug night in or take a tipple outside and watch the sunset and the stars appear if the weather is warm and balmy. With all you need to rustle up three-course feasts and delicious picnics for beach days, the kitchen/diner is a light, fresh space in which to spend time. Plate up inside or step down through the French doors and serve up at the patio table for an al fresco dinner and a few sundowners. You are welcome to explore the owner’s grounds and wander the unfenced pond for a relaxing stroll past blooms and flowers. With a TV for lazy mornings under the covers, the double bedroom invites you to drift off and dream before you wake up for a refreshing shower.

 

Head to the coast and visit the golden sands of Sandbanks (21.5 miles) which sits near Poole Harbour. Head into Poole (17.5 miles) for a spot of retail therapy or to visit one of many eateries for a night off from the kitchen. The spectacular bay of Lulworth Cove is 23 miles from your door and the glittering ocean is a real sight to behold from this horseshoe-shaped beach. From Lulworth, a 1.5-mile walk takes you to the stunning arch of Durdle Door, a must-visit location when holidaying in magical Dorset.

The cottage is in an idyllic spot with good views and is surrounded by a beautiful garden. It is very well situated for visiting many places in Dorset & being close to Blandford Forum is handy for shopping. It is very well equipped, comfortable and private, perfect for two people. In good weather the patio is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the Read moreview & the garden. There is plenty of off road parking and I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. Hide

The Linnie is a lovely spot, set in beautiful gardens. It's very cosy, just right when the weather is poor as it was for us. The owners were friendly and helpful- we followed their recommendations for pubs and had very good meals out. There are some great walks on the doorstep, we would have tried more if had rained less. This is a lovely little cottage, set back far enough from the road that there is no traffic noise. The garden looks great for sitting out in, although we didn't do much of that as it was only February !! Well equipped, warm and cosy. Can't ask for any more.

This is a lovely annex to the owner's home, which had everything we needed. This is a very practical cottage for two with lovely views and delightful garden. The village is quiet but close to main roads for reaching various places around. Parking is easy and safe. I don't think you would be disappointed with your accomadation.
