Located on a small holiday complex just 1 mile from the coastal village of Charmouth, this stylish and modern apartment is the perfect retreat for two. Full of character inside, it boasts an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner inside and a shared courtyard area outside leading to the communal gardens and shared swimming pool (please refer to the 'need to know' for more details). Beyond the complex, Charmouth offers a fantastic pebble and sandy beach and is ideally located for exploring both the Dorset and Devon coastlines.

Lovingly decorated in a tasteful, contemporary theme, this light and airy apartment is a welcoming base for coastal escapes. Prepare tasty meals for two in the chic kitchen area, which occupies one end of the open-plan living space. At the other, a welcoming lounge area with TV overlooks the garden. A contemporary shower room and cosy double bedroom complete the accommodation. Step outside to dine alfresco on the shared courtyard or lawn, or take a stroll around the lakes. From May to September, make the most of the shared outdoor heated pool.

Just 1 mile from Charmouth, this property is an excellent choice for beach lovers and walkers. Spend a day relaxing on the beach or set out along the South West Coast Path to reach neighbouring Lyme Regis (2 miles). With its pretty harbour, fossil-rich beach and good selection of shops and eateries, this is a delightful seaside town. Jump in the car to visit nearby Seaton (11.5 miles) and Sidmouth (20 miles), both full of coastal charm, or head inland for a stroll through the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (12 miles).

  • Access to the property is either via a set of external steps or longer flat path to the courtyard
  • Shared laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer at small charge
  • The property does not have Wi-Fi
  • Beach, pub, restaurant and shops within walking distance
  • Private water supply. The water is not suitable for drinking but is fine for showering and boiling. Bottled water will be left in the property for drinking 
  • Arrival: 15:30 onwards

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £150 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £20. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Compass Corner is an attractively furnished small space. The nautical decorations are pleasing and the kitchen is well equipped. However, it must be said that there are serious problems. There is no Internet. In 2022 this is a big problem. The pool needs to be booked between 10.00 and 12.00 am and costs 2.00 per person per hour. The walk to CharmouRead moreth beach is 20 mins but a lot longer uphill! The tiny, squashed double bedroom is a nightmare due to having to climb over each other! Hide

A nice compact cottage with a seaside theme. Good to have table and chairs outside. Easy walk into Charmouth about 20 mins and regular buses back 2.50. Charmouth road car park good for Lyme Regis or you can walk into town on south west coast path diversion, path near entrance to Fernhill Hotel . Small, but well equipped and spotless. Everything you need really. Very peaceful and quiet. The grounds are well kept. We were lucky with the weather and travelled around , lyme Regis just 5 minutes away.
