Nestled in the pretty village of Bourton, 3 miles south of the National Trust’s Stourhead, find plenty to explore close to home and enjoy your peaceful location. Sleeping two, whisk your loved one or a friend away and arrive to a delicious welcome pack, a lovely way to be invited into your home from home and to start your holiday with a treat.

The snug open-plan living space is filled with light and character, making it perfect for spending time in after adventures. Fire up the wood burner to keep the chill at bay or open the patio doors for a refreshing breeze whilst you sit a while on the sofa in front of the Smart TV. Stepping over to the kitchen area you should find all you need to rustle up snacks, throw together picnics and to cook up a three-course feast for a romantic date night. Plate up at the table or head outside and dine alfresco on the pretty, private patio. When it’s time to rest your head and get under the covers, the king-size bedroom is a cosy space with a gorgeous bay window overlooking the front of the home. Rise and shine and enjoy an invigorating shower before heading out to explore both close to home and far and wide. There is ample roadside parking.

A 12-mile trip will take you to Longleat Safari Park where animal friends await and guests of any age will have a great day out. The Old Shop is beautifully converted, light and airy, comfortable, and well equipped. The outside courtyard is delightful.

The first time we have returned to any holiday cottage. Beautifully renovated inside & out to a high standard. Immaculate, fresh & clean & well maintained. Warm inside from the under floor heating, despite the freezing cold weather. Would recommend this cottage and it has everything you need for comfort. A lovely welcome tray of food goodies and flowers. Ideal location for many places of interest. Stourhead only a few minutes away and a beautiful place to spend the day.

What a lovely well equipped cottage everything you need for an enjoyable break within easy reach of so many destinations. The welcome tray was lovely and much appreciated and would recommend the accommodation to anyone and we would definitely book again

So good we came back again! A perfect cottage in a perfect location. Lots to see and do in the area from walking (Cranborne Chase and the Downs), National Trust properties (Stourhead, Montacute and the delightful Tintinhull Garden), shopping (Clarks Outlet at Street) and just pottering about. The cottage was immaculately clean and very well maintained. The owner who lives next door popped by to welcome us and let us know we could call next door if we needed anything. The court yard garden has the sun and is a lovely place to sit and watch the birds that visit. Close to National Trust places Stourhead and Lytes Coat Manor worth a visit. The cottage was perfect. Clean, sanitised and well stocked with equipment and the welcome tray was amazing. The shop Dorset was a beautiful place the couple who own it live next door they came to check on us the first day we got there and also left us a wonderful tray of wine tea milk etc and some beautiful flowers can not fault the little shop at all will go back again it was so clean and every thing you need was there really didnt want to come home

This was the cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in, and well maintained and well equipped. The owners were great. The welcome tray of goodies was lovely. Would certainly use this cottage again if the opportunity was there.

Everything was perfect, in fact I wanted to live there permanently On arrival Roger and Linda had left milk in the fridge, Wine, biscuits and teabags with a little welcome note. I took lots of things with me which I didnt need because it was already there.
