Plate up at the table or head outside and up steps to the private courtyard, a wonderful place to spend balmy evenings with a tipple or two, and a great place for canines to stretch their legs. Three inviting bedrooms are reached by climbing steep stairs and provide you with tranquil rooms in which to doze off and enjoy lazy mornings (take care of sloping ceilings). Soak in the ground-floor bathroom or freshen up in the first-floor shower room before heading out to explore.
With a plethora of tracks and trails to explore, follow the River Lim to Lyme Regis (2 miles) for a gentle waterside stroll. A great place to spend a day, Lyme Regis has plenty of eateries to visit for a pitstop, and the Marine Aquarium is a top destination for young guests. Visit the famous Cobb harbour before spending time splashing in the sea and relaxing on the beach. For a spot of fossil hunting, the beaches between Charmouth (6.5 miles) and Lyme Regis are good places to start.
