Lose yourself in the idyllic Dorset countryside at this romantic retreat for two in the pretty seaside village of Eype. Take one happy hound with you if you choose to this character-filled, one-bedroom stone and wood abode. Sit outside in your private garden to soak up the serenity and the magnificent views out across the undulating countryside. Wander down to the secluded beach to swim, sunbathe and enjoy sweeping vistas of the famous Jurassic Coast.

Head into the welcoming, single-storey cottage to find creatively designed accommodation within the extended home. Enjoy the inviting lounge where you can unwind after long days out in scenic Dorset. Watch your favourite programme on the Smart TV, choose a film from the Amazon Fire stick, or listen to the radio and play tunes through the Amazon Echo. On warm days, open the French doors to bring the picturesque views right into the cottage and to allow you to wander out into the sunshine. Step up into the kitchen to prepare homecooked meals, then dine in the lounge against the beautiful backdrop. You'll find your comfortable bedroom space and contemporary shower room close by too. Sit out on the multi-level decking, light the BBQ or swing in the hammock while enjoying the fresh Dorset air.

Discover the lively town of Bridport, 2.5 miles from your cottage; visit the Bridport Museum and spend time browsing the stalls of the antiques' markets. Discover the beach at West Bay, 3 miles from the cottage. Head off from here on a 5-mile walk along the South West Coast Path and Jurassic Coast to Burton Bradstock. Drive 8 miles to Mapperton House, where you can tour the Jacobean manor and its gardens.

A super, small, cottage in an ideal location for us and the dog. Eype was a new holiday location for us, a small village on the Dorset coast. We enjoyed the goodies that were waiting for us, homemade bread, biscuits, home made jam, west country butter, eggs and wine. If we return to Dorset, Beehive Cottage would be at the top of our list. We had a lovely week at the Beehive cottage, helped by some nice sunny weather. We were already aware that the cottage would be compact, but had no problems with this. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the view across the countryside was beautiful. The road down to the beach is very narrow and annoying when cars comeRead more up and down, but its possible to avoid it by using footpaths. A lovely compact Cottage with spectacular views across the valley. Well equipped kitchen ,even a washing machine ! Shower was snug ,but we coped fine .Lovely wooden effect walls inside / outside shower We enjoyed the cosiness of the cottage ,& sitting out in the evening with a glass of wine .A lovely setting in a quiet village with a pub serving goRead moreod food just less than 100metres away. A wonderful cottage with all amenities not far, the new inn a few yards from property does fantastic food and the locals are lovely, we were up there every evening. The cottage has everything you could need and the welcome pack was a nice touch. The door to the shower room is very narrow and such is the shower, if I dropped anything I couldnt pick Read moreit up lol. But we are of the larger size. Would go back if shower room was bigger. had to down size, and found cottage a bit small, soon got used to it and had a most enjoyable stay. All being well will be back next year, ideal for two vey cosy .

Had a lovely stay. Small but perfect space for 2 of us and our doggie. Lyndon was really helpful and the welcome pack of homemade bread and jam with butter, milk and wine much appreciated. Eype is a lovely quiet little hamlet. Recommend

Lovely cottage, great provisions in place by the owners and very clean. Close to the beach and countryside so best of both worlds and great location for exploring locations on the Jurassic Coast.

Comfortable cosy cottage peaceful and quiet with lovely views. Well equipped and welcome pack (the plum jam was deicious). Safe enclosed garden for the dog. Lots of excellent walking in beautiful scenery from the door (didn't use the car all week). Local pub with good food very close . Also worth a visit is the Ilchester Arms at Symondsbury.

We had a great stay in Beehive Cottage. Quiet with lovely views and beach a short footpath walk away. Little garden with table and chairs a bonus on warm days. Comfortable little Cottage with beautiful artwork and very good welcome pack. Looking forward to visiting again.

Lovely remote cottage with plenty of walks and views. The approach roads are clearly not built for traffic and not good with a large vehicle. But if you choose a remote location it comes with the territory! Perfect for a few days away from the everyday

Our stay at Beehive Cottage was just what me, my wife and our dog, Buddy, needed. Just the right size for a restful stay for two, all the comforts and necessities provided. The location's ideal for wintry walks along the beach and bimbling around Bridport and West Bay. Perfect accommodation for solo traveller like myself. The Welcome pack with homemade bread and jam, etc, with milk and spread in the fridge, was a lovely touch. Great views from the windows and the dog and i appreciated the little garden, as weather was superb for October. Really lovely area, the coastal path, and lots of walks.
