Take two delighted dogs to accompany you along footpaths through your magnificent surroundings.
Open the door on to this character home to find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with flagstone floor and revealed stonework. Stoke up the wood burner (first basket of logs included); choose a game or watch SkyTV. Prepare meals in the modern kitchen, which has an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer and integrated dishwasher, then lay the table close by. Find a handy washing machine, a downstairs WC and a drying area, with storage for coats and boots. Follow the stairs up to the bedrooms, all on the first floor. Find one has a king-size bed; another comes with a double and the final bedroom is a single. Take in the views of the garden or undulating countryside. An inflatable bed for two children can also be provided. Find a shower room with WC up here too with a small step down as you enter. Look out towards Swanage Bay and the Isle of Wight from the enclosed, south-facing garden. Sizzle supper on the BBQ and peer through the glass over the covered well to watch the goldfish. Find storage for bicycles in the shed and parking for three cars on the drive.
Pack towels and costumes and head 3 miles into Swanage, with its sandy beach. Potter in the shops and dine out here too. Catch a steam train from the town to Corfe Castle, 5.5 miles away, to see the ruins, then return for an ice cream and a last swim in the sea before heading home.
