A charming stone cottage with a lovely view across fields to the sea from its tranquil garden, situated in the delightful Purbeck village of Worth Matravers – a wonderful walking and cycling area.

Bask in the sunshine in the garden of this Dorset cottage and gaze out across the fields towards the sea. Set in the village of Worth Matravers, on the Purbeck Peninsula, the attractive, four-bedroom cottage welcomes up to seven guests and is the perfect base for country walks and cycle rides, as well as days out to the beach in Swanage, 3.5 miles away.

Find the heart of this holiday home is its large lounge. Light the wood burner in here, watch TV or open the glass doors for seamless indoor/outdoor living on warm days. Find the bright kitchen, with electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine, offers everything you need to cater for your party. Gather in the dining room at meals times and absorb the sea views. Find a wet room, with shower, WC and handbasin, on the ground floor too, plus a single bedroom. The other three bedrooms are on the first floor: two are arranged with king-size beds, while the third is a twin. The family bathroom, with a bath and walk-in shower, is also at this level, together with a separate WC. Make the most of the south-facing, enclosed garden during the warmer months. Dine on the terrace as often as possible and watch the children play on the lawn. Find another grassed area in front of the cottage, together with parking for up to two cars.

Follow a footpath for less than 1 mile to Winspit Quarry, where you can swim from the rocks and pick up the path along the famous Jurassic coastline. Spend time shopping, dining or walking along the pier in Swanage. Drive 7 miles to Studland, for more sandy beaches, and head to Corfe Castle 4 miles away to browse in independent shops and visit historic ruins.

Superb location, very peaceful with a spacious garden and sea views. Comfortable king size beds; easy access walk in showers; comfortable chairs and sofas and a good tv. Very well equipped kitchen with a lovely full size fridge freezer. We parked two good size cars in the drive easily. All in all very nice and we would return happily.
