Up to nine guests can stay at this four-bedroom holiday home, which has a beautiful garden for children to play in.

Enter this enticing home to unwind in the airy lounge, which has French doors on to the garden. Light the wood burner on chilly nights; watch TV or wander into the smaller lounge to play a game. Spill outside on sunny days to dine on the terrace or watch the children on the trampoline. Find parking for three cars.

Head into Swanage to choose from a selection of cafes and restaurants when you want to dine out. Catch a steam train from here to Corfe Castle, 6 miles away, to see the ruins, then head back for an ice cream on the Victorian pier. Alternatively, plan a day out to picturesque Lulworth Cove, 16 miles from your base.

Lovely house, short drive to many places of interest though nothing close enough to walk to other than the village pub which we did visit but didnt stay as there was nowhere left to sit! Nearest shops for groceries are in Swanage approx 3 miles away along with a good fish & chip shop (Fish Plaice) & other places to eat, pubs etc We visited Durdle DRead moreoor & Lulworth Cove which are beautiful areas but the car park price is steep as is the walk from the car park but well worth it if you can do it. We had a wonderful weekend stay at Speedwell. It is much bigger than the pictures suggest and was incredibly comfortable for 4 couples. The location is perfect, the cottage is superbly equipped, we will be back!

A really gorgeous property with the most wonderful views out to sea from both the sitting room and main bedroom. The location is excellent and it is within walking distance of the excellent Square & Compass pub. There is bags of space for everyone, particularly in the sitting room which has the most comfortable and enormous sofa. This cottage is peRead morerfect for a large family group and we would definitely consider booking it again when we have more time to explore the area. Hide

My three friends and I loved everything about our week here. Even the weather was glorious. Our only problem was that the week flew by too quickly. We will definitely recommend it to everyone.

We love this house its location is great. It really needs some updating furniture wise, also as said previously the main bedroom plus the ground floor bedroom does not have sufficient hanging space, wardrobe or rail in the main and zero in the ground floor. Nice to see that rooms had been redecorated.

This is a beautiful, well equipped cottage in a lovely location. The grandchildren loved the wrap around garden and the playground opposite, which had play equipment to keep them entertained and a generous space for ball games, including a goal. The journey into Swanage is very straightforward from this location and Corfe Castle is a very short drive away. Great for extended family. Hide

A really gorgeous cottage, a dream home. It is very homely, full of character and original charm, it rambles in a lovely way but is very nicely appointed, beautifully decorated and much more spacious than we expected. Lovely comfortable and well equipped cottage in an excellent location if you enjoy views of the sea and good walking options.
