The house exudes traditional character and retains many of its original features including exposed stonework, beautiful period decor, stunning fireplaces and flagstone floors. The main house features an impressive Medieval hall, an oak-panelled dining room, large kitchen and larder, two lounges, a drawing room, six bedrooms and six bathrooms. With a connecting door to the main house, The Annex has its own living space, fitted kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Butler’s House which has it's own living space, fitted kitchen and two bedrooms with en-suites and a private garden, while the Japanese Pavilion is a one-bedroom romantic escape situated outside the main house. Outside are beautifully maintained gardens with plenty to explore including a Japanese Garden with ornamental ponds and outdoor dining areas. There’s also a sauna in the summer pavilion, and a hot tub can be arranged at additional cost for more rest and relaxation.
Tollard Royal has a pub, which is easy to reach on foot at just 300 metres from the property. Head to the market town of Shaftesbury (8 miles), home of the ‘Gold Hill’, as seen in the Hovis advert. The town is brimming with independent shops, bars and eateries for you to enjoy. Keen walkers and cyclists will love the New Forest (18 miles) with its spectacular landscape and views. If you fancy a day at the beach, head 26 miles to Bournemouth’s superb sandy seafront.
