Property code: DC041

Stunning period property dating from the 1800s, benefitting from an array of period features, comfortable soft furnishings and all the latest modern conveniences.

In the picturesque, countryside hamlet of Coryates, this family-sized haven is a real slice of paradise. Dating back to 1820, this former dairy infuses traditional charm with modern chic. With accommodation for up to eight people, the whole family can revel in its welcoming interiors and enjoy the great access to Dorset’s wonders, as well as shops and pub 2.5 miles away.

Come into the porch and immediately be wooed by the period features on show. An attractive space with original stone walls, grand fireplace with wood burner and plenty of comfortable seating, the lounge is a lovely spot to recharge with a cup of tea. Throw open the patio doors in summer to let the sunshine flood in, and for cosy winter nights switch on the TV for a movie. Venturing further inside you will come to the kitchen and a separate dining room. Take your meals overlooking the garden in the dining room or gather around the kitchen’s breakfast table. Well-equipped with utensils, appliances and with the addition of a bench seat, the spacious kitchen marries form and function. For a good night’s sleep, the first of the property’s bedrooms is on the ground floor: a double (that can be made into a twin) with an en-suite bathroom and dressing room. Upstairs there are three more bedrooms, all with reduced head height in the eaves: two doubles (one with en-suite bathroom and low doorway) and a twin. Also upstairs is the family bathroom. Boasting a large wrap-around south-facing garden with two distinct areas, you can relax on the terrace, fire up the BBQ or sprawl out on the lawn.

For land and water-based activities, Weymouth is only 6.5 miles away. Only 3.5 miles from Chesil, a trip to this iconic beach is a must.

We had a lovely holiday at this cottage. Found it be very clean. It has a plenty of equipment in the kitchen. The garden is very large and great for the kids to play in. Perfect house located in a very quiet area which was able to house myself and 7 others. Plenty of space for people inside and also great garden space. House has everything you would need to have a fantastic trip. Also not too far from shops, pubs and only 15 minute drive to Weymouth seafront which makes it a great location for everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cowleaze. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities some of the best we have found in a holiday cottage (only an espresso machine would be the icing on the cake for one member of our party). We had a lovely stay for all the family. The Cottage was very well equipped for adults and children. The only thing we couldnt find were black bin liners; a couple of which would have been handy to get us started. Beautiful location but not really within walking distance of any village or shops. We would certainly stay again.
