This traditional countryside cottage for two has ample space both inside and outside, and enjoys the best of both worlds with the popular attractions of the Jurassic Coast also within easy reach.

A quintessentially English country cottage with country views, nature-lovers and tranquillity-searchers will love it here. Located just outside of the village of West Milton, this former stone mill (cited in the Doomsday Book) is down a private track and boasts country walks in abundance from the doorstep. Don your boots and explore the locale or simply pull up a pew at your new home from home and enjoy this scenic haven with all its lovely comforts and thoughtful details.

Separated across two floors, the ground of the cottage features the living area. In a modern open-plan design, there’s no part of your day that isn’t catered for. Relax in the lounge area and switch on the Smart TV for the morning news, coffee in hand. A selection of books is also provided for you to read if you’ve finished your own or simply fancy something different. In the kitchen, detail and function blend to create a cute, compact space with everything you could need. Cook up a culinary sensation and sit down around the dining table for meals at home. Upstairs, there is a pretty bedroom with lots of light and soothing decor, and a bathroom with walk-in shower. For sunny afternoons, take a few steps from the front door and over a small bridged stream to the large garden, where you can throw a picnic blanket down on the lawn, light the fire pit or relax on the decked area.

Enjoy Dorset’s rich natural beauty and explore the locale on foot. Many footpaths are easily accessible near and far. Beyond the immediate area, a whole playground awaits. Only 5.5 miles from West Bay and 7 miles from Hive Beach, you can inhale the reviving scent of sea air and skim stones across the water’s surface. We had a lovely holiday at Mill Cottage. Beautiful, quiet place but not too far in the car for amenities. Ideal place for costal visits and beautiful country walks, great pub about a mile away with good pub grub and very friendly locals. Would hope to be able to visit again in the future.
