Situated in a picturesque Dorset village this bright and spacious Grade II listed 18th century thatched cottage offers delightful accommodation just 3 miles from the stunning Jurassic Coast.

This beautifully refurbished 18th-century thatched cottage has featured in the Sunday Times Travel listing of “The 50 coolest cottages in the UK”. They describe this special property as “Your classic olde-worlde, low-beamed, thatched Dorset cottage given a modern twist” and “Stylishly refurbished — and more a home than a holiday rental”. We couldn’t put it better ourselves. The Channel 5 programme ‘Holiday Homes in the Sun’ has also filmed at Roselawn showcasing the cottage for their Jurassic Coast episode.

Ideally located in the idyllic village of Winfrith Newburgh with a popular pub and village stores. It is the perfect choice for family holidays and special friends. Inside, oak floors and exposed beams combine with state-of-the-art appliances and chic design, while outside the garden offers plenty of space for children and hammock. Beyond the property, stunning Lulworth Cove is just 3 miles away while a delicious meal at the local pub is just half a mile away.

The stone-floored kitchen is perfect for entertaining with contemporary units, a large range oven, stone floor and breakfast bar. Dine beside the pretty stained-glass window next door, before firing up the gas flame-effect wood burner in the sitting room and hunkering down for a cosy night of TV. For those who would rather listen to music or get lost in a good book, a second sitting room with feature fireplace, portable Bluetooth speaker offers an alternative space to relax. Or, if you still have energy to burn, head to the games room for a competitive round of table tennis. When the sun is shining, make the most of the large garden with its terrace, lawns, and hammock. There is parking for two cars on a shared drive.

Winfrith Newburgh is a pretty Dorset village with a popular pub and village stores. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, miles of wonderful walks are available direct from this property’s doorstep. The stunning natural landmark of Lulworth Cove is just 3 miles away, boasting a spectacular white pebbled beach, crystal clear waters and choice of cafes and pubs. From here, follow the South West Coast Path to reach Durdle Door (1.5 miles) to the west or head east to discover more beautiful bays and breathtaking views.

Good location. Excellent village stores. Good pub, but food isn't. Well equipped kitchen.Plenty of games, toys and garden equipment. Table tennis a plus. Great for small children. Very spacious downstairs . Fine for warmer months, but could get cold in autumn/winter.

A very nice cottage in a great location. Lots of traffic noise from the adjacent road, so not always very peaceful. Not the most comfortable cottage, with hard chairs and lounge furniture.

A fantastic location for exploring the area. The beaches and coast are beautiful. Rose Lawn is comfortable and well equipped and we would definitely recommend it. Lovely cottage plenty of character, well located for Dordrecht door, Lulworth cove, Weymouth , great garden for kids.
