Gather around in the lounge with the wood burner roaring in winter as the children entertain themselves in the games room, complete with TV and a games console. For quality family time, go head-to-head with the lounge’s football table or sit together around the dining table with plates of hot food. Lovely house, plenty of space, well equipped, really comfortable and tidy. Nice to have plenty of parking space too, as we had 4 cars between a group of 9, coming from different parts of the country. Great location, very handy for a long weekend in South Dorset.

Great stay at Rylands cottage. Very close to Monkey World and the Tank museum where we had great visits. Sadly pub in walking distance has closed until 1st March 2026 for refurb but went to the Seven Stars instead and had a fabulous meal - highly recommend. Cottage was very well equipped with loads of space. Garden lovely although as the weather waRead mores icy we didn't spend any time out there. For people using in the warmer weather the gardens are a very good size. Hide

The cottage was perfect and so well equipped. The owners decorated wonderfully for the festive season and the welcome basket was such a welcome touch. We all absolutely loved it. It is in a lovely village and so easy to find. I have never stayed anywhere so well equipped from the kitchen down to entertainment. Not the weather to be outside much butRead more the kids loved the nature trail and in the warmer weather would have been outside in the enormous space all the time. This is the second time we have stayed at Rylands and it is absolutely perfect for a large family gathering. The grandchildren loved the garden, especially all the little ornaments!

Second stay at this property. It is well equipped with plenty of things to entertain young ( 6, 7and 8 year old) children, also well equipped for babies. There is a pantry cupboard with basics as well as two fridge freezers and a wine fridge. The only thing missing was a pizza cutter! It is a nice house with a lovely garden with a possibility to have a nice BBQ. Rooms are plenty of spaces to spend time together. Bedrooms lets you arrange sleeping possibilities in many different ways.

Wonderful house and garden in a great location. Great facilities for multi generation family and child friendly games as well as garden fun. Comfortable beds and good shower. Within less than 30 min drive there is a plectra of activities and pubs for eating out, with information in the folder. This property is lovely and the location is perfect. We were a family of 10 and the house provides ample space for all to relax. The PlayStation is a good addition and having a tumble dryer to dry children's onesies etc was a bonus. This is the second time we have stayed at the house over Christmas and the Christmas decorations makes it so much morRead moree perfect. We enjoyed the Polar Express at Swanage railway and Nutley Farm having a light display was beautiful. We also recommend the local pub. Hide

The house was homely and welcoming with pots of flowers by the front door. It is incredibly well stocked with everything you could need, toys, books and games for the children, bath, travel cots and high chair for the baby and a well stocked kitchen. This was our 3rd visit to Rylands, we love coming here on holiday. The property is well maintained and well equipped. The garden is lovely and secluded. Plenty of space inside and out for everyone to enjoy themselves.
