Situated just 200 metres from one of Dorset’s popular fishing beaches, this spacious property offers glorious panoramic sea views and has been beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated. Ideal for a family or a small group, this lovely holiday home is set in an idyllic spot on the Jurassic Coast, perfect for visiting coastal locations including Lyme Regis, Abbotsbury and West Bay, and for exploring the breathtaking Dorset countryside.

Entering this delightful holiday getaway you will find a bright and open lounge which is a perfect space to relax in, with a Smart TV with Netflix and a Bluetooth sound system. You can enjoy a fantastic meal in the open-plan kitchen/diner which overlooks the garden and which has a cosy additional lounge area meaning there’s plenty of space for everybody to unwind. There are also four comfortable bedrooms. Stepping outside, the pretty back garden is split into three areas and features a patio and a charming lawn surrounded by trees.

Just a few hundred metres away is Chesil Beach with its fine dining restaurant, as well as a 16th Century Manor House serving food and drinks, which makes this property all the more a perfect base for a family wanting to enjoy the stunning Dorset coastline. You can enjoy coastal walks to the beautiful West Bay (6 miles), Burton Bradstock (4 miles) and Hive Beach (3.5 miles), with Charmouth (13 miles) and Lyme Regis (16 miles) a little further along. The picturesque village of Abbotsbury (5 miles) is home to a ruined abbey, a swannery and a subtropical garden. Heading inland, you can visit the bustling market town of Dorchester (14.5 miles), famous for its links with Thomas Hardy whose birthplace is in the nearby Higher Bockhampton (17.5 miles). Other local attractions include the Kingston Russell Stone Circle (7 miles), Mapperton House and Gardens (12 miles) and Coney’s Castle (14 miles).

Lovely home nice stay, lovely garden to get lost in. 2. Key's would be useful, needed heating to switched on early morning. Could alter temperatures but not the times. Did request earlier times no answer answer.DorsemanageServices not really helpful. Should do better.

Another relaxing, comfortable stay at Shearwater. Visit twice a year and always clean and tidy and owners provide a very lovely Welcome pack. Whilst it is great to be so near the sea and the Jurassic Coast, the garden at this property is so relaxing to sit in that it is sometimes hard to leave it and explore the area.

A very well cared for property. Incredibly well equipped. Very grateful for items that were left as a welcome pack. Having wifi was essential in the location due to poor reception for mobile phones. Fabulous property and location. Garden is very relaxing with airondeck chairs scattered around to enjoy every part of it Have purchased a set for home as do relaxing. Could not fault this property, which is why we book for 2,week every year .

A beautiful cottage and garden in a lovely location, literally minutes from the sea and two nice places to eat. Care has been taken to provide everything you need for a relaxing break and we felt at home within minutes of arriving. Three generations plus dog had a great time!

A beautifully presented 4 bedroom property in a fabulous location close to Chesil beach. It was an ideal spot for us to stay with my in laws who are in their 80s as the two downstairs rooms offered them perfect accommodation. The sitting room is very bright and comfortable for relaxing in at the end of the day. The house was gorgeous, really well decorated, had everything one might need for one stay and it was very clean. There was plenty of space for us all and we had a great time. Lovely house and garden. Have stayed many times and always clean, tidy, plenty of supplies and lovely, very much appreciated, welcome pack to get started with. Added bonus of two downstairs bedrooms and ensuites, so making it perfect for family members with mobility issues regarding stairs.

Beautiful house decorated, furnished and equipped to a high standard with lots of space. Very good beach bar/restaurant at the bottom of the hill and a pub with good food at the top, both recommended. Loved the garden and the beautiful views of the sea from both first floor bedrooms in a lovely, quiet location.

The cottage was absolutely fantastic. The facilities provided were superb and the house itself is stunning and well looked after, with more than enough room for a family. If you are unable to drive it's difficult in terms of location, but if you have a car it's close to west bay, beautiful Lyme Regis and Charmouth.

Thought has gone into the property for holiday makers and it was one of the best properties we have stayed in as a family group. The bedrooms were spacious, it had everything you needed. The garden fantastic for our two dogs and with the beach only minutes walk away, that was a bonus. Lovely relaxing week, and the weather was excellent. The garden of the property is a great asset - multiple areas to relax in, and nicely secluded. We spent 3 weeks at Shearwater and enjoyed every moment. The house is stunning..beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, very well equipped and a fabulous sun trap garden. Excellent location, just a few minutes walk to the beach, and 2 great places to eat within strolling distance. We would have no hesitation in returning to this wonderful house.

We had the best time. The accommodation was fairly central even though out by the sea. It was beautifully decorated with attention to detail. It was spacious, we all had our own bathrooms, the kitchen was well equipped and the living and dining areas were of a lovely size. Honestly loved the place and would not hesitate in booking again!
