This delightful terraced cottage is set in the heart of a sleepy village surrounded by beautiful scenery and historic landmarks, offering a relaxing retreat for families to unwind and reconnect.

This 18th-century terraced cottage is located on a quiet country lane in Winfrith Newburgh and enjoys open countryside views. Just inside the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is the perfect base for a family or group of friends looking to explore the natural beauty of the area, with local village amenities on your doorstep.

Inside, character charm blends with modern style to create a property that’s perfect for socialising and catching up with loved ones. There is parking for one car at the property, with additional parking in the village.

A really lovely house , exceptionally cosy and warm for winter break. Super comfortable beds, and very well stocked. Welcome box with tea and coffee a very nice touch and a starter fire kit. The place felt like home from day one and we were reluctant to leave. Ideal for a family and for a group of pensioners!

A great place for a 3 generational Christmas celebration. Having a high quality, tuned piano added hugely to festivities and we found both the village church and store very friendly. Surrounded by dorset countryside and Lulworth cove is just down the road.

Thornicks House is a lovely cottage and garden in a very pretty village. We really appreciated the peaceful surroundings and found good local walks. There is only one pub/restaurant within easy walking distance - we would have liked to make less use of the car but there is much to do in this beautiful area.

We had a fantastic stay in Thornics house. We felt so welcome and at home there. Old, charming and well equipped cottage. Nice private garden and relaxing atmosphere. The piano was the icing on the cake. Short drive to many attractions nearby, and footpath to the village and shop, and also to the red lion bar for a brew in the evening. Characterful cottage, in a great quiet location with a lovely garden. Short walk to village shop, and bus stop. Very well equiped. One tight parking space close to cottage, but no problem parking in the village.

Lovely house and garden in a pretty and peaceful setting. A sort walk to the local post office and village store and the nearby farm shop. The house itself is really well equipped with everything you could need. Within a short drive to a whole host of lovely beaches. Would recommend the Lulworth Lodge and the Sailor's Return for fabulous meals out!
