Set in an elevated position boasting far-reaching countryside and sea views, this contemporary cottage offers a peaceful retreat whilst sitting close to a variety of fun local attractions.

Wake up in the morning to glorious countryside scenes and sip a coffee as the sun peaks over the sea beyond. A fantastic country retreat near Swanage, this property is the ideal bolthole for solo adventurers or couples looking to embrace rural living for a while. And, with great access to the coast (0.5 miles) and village shop and pub (also 0.5 miles), you can come and go as you please. Never far from a cup of tea, take your adventures with a dose of luxury.

Gorgeous former stables, natural light and modern style are the dish of the day. All on one level, the open-plan layout means that you can make the most of every inch of space and enjoy the spacious yet intimate feel. Step in through the French doors and drink in the atmosphere. Home to a comfortable living area, you can lay back on the sofa or sink into the armchair and cast your gaze between the TV and views outside. In the winter, turn on the wood burner-effect electric fire for extra warmth. When you are ready to eat, a well-equipped kitchen houses everything you could need, and a dining table for two sits next to the patio doors for an unbeatable backdrop. Continuing the bright themes, the bedroom has a 5ft double bed, sea views and en-suite shower room with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. For summer days, the outside seating area brings you a step closer to nature and is great for al fresco feasts or simply getting to know the resident donkeys whose home is in the field adjacent.

Take some time to enjoy the local walks or head straight down to the beach. At the eastern end of the Isle of Purbeck, Swanage’s white sand beach is a must-see. Hop on the Sandbanks ferry to stroll along the beach and explore Poole town and harbour.

Lovely cosy and warm cottage, sound insulation good too (we had a couple of heavy rain storms overnigh t and we had to open a door to be certain it was raining). Brilliant location for driving round the Isle of Purbeck, or just walking from the front door.

A lovely scenic location with countryside walks direct from the front door. Comfortable and spacious accommodation, tastefully furnished and decorated, and a well equipped kitchen. The local shop is a fairly steep 10 to 15 minutes' walk, other shops are a short drive away in Swanage Town. We've already booked again for next year.
