This charming character cottage is an ideal getaway within walking distance to the Jurassic Coast and boasts a cosy wood burner and a pretty, secluded cottage garden which is fully enclosed.

Escape to this exquisite terraced cottage, which nestles at the heart of the colourful Dorset market town of Bridport and sleeps up to two guests. Take two contented canines with you too, if you choose, and let them stretch their legs in your picturesque surroundings. Stroll along the stunning, sandy beach at West Bay or explore the Jurassic Coast by attempting a stretch of the South West Coast Path, with its high cliff views. Return to your cosy cottage to bask in the warmth of the wood burner.

Climb two steps into this characterful home to find yourself in the welcoming lounge/diner. Settle down on the comfortable seating, light the wood burner and enjoy a film on the Smart TV. Wander through to the kitchen, which is up another step and has a quarry tiled floor and a door leading to the delightful back garden. Prepare romantic meals for two in here with the fresh Dorset produce you have bought in the town's independent shops or market, then dine together at the table. As day turns to night, make your way up the cottage-style stairs to the beautiful bedroom and shower room. Enjoy your enclosed garden as often as the weather permits. Climb the steps to its seating area, light the BBQ and enjoy a cold drink while your supper sizzles.

Spend summer days on the beach at West Bay, almost 2 miles away; play on the sand, take a dip in the sea and hunt for fossils. From here, you can also take a boat trip along the Jurassic Coast, and those who are sporty can go water skiing or wakeboarding. On rainy days, visit the Bridport Museum, less than 0.5 miles from your base, or take a tour of Palmers Brewery.

An excellent little base for exploring Dorset. The cottage is a 5 min walk from the centre of Bridport, situated on a quiet street. The furnishings are simple but comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. The enclosed garden was great for an evening drink and for our dog. For loading/unloading we parked in the short-term South Street parking (gRead moreo as far down the left side as you can) then moved the car to the long-term East Street parking (3 min walk by the back gate). Me, my partner and cockapoo Willow had a lovely holiday in this beautiful cottage. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and flowers, which was much appreciated. The Cottage was clean, well equipped and very cosy. The garden was also fully enclosed and perfect for Willow and the bluebells look beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here

The only real issue was parking, as the pay and display is only a short stay car-park. An excellent cottage which is very well located. The only drawback - which is beyond the control of the owners - is that sometimes the allocated street parking spot is taken by others. However, the very close long stay car park always had spaces available whan we needed them. Overall we had a lovely holiday in this cottage.
