With views across undulating hills and just 4 miles from the dog-friendly beach at Eype, this home from home is a spectacular holiday destination. Sleeping nine guests across four bedrooms, bring three dogs along too and enjoy having a ball with family and friends. Spend rainy days in the hot tub and getting competitive in the games room or return home from adventures and snuggle up by the wood burner.

Wander through the picket gate and make your way inside to settle in. Find yourselves in the heart of the home, the open-plan kitchen/dining room, and put the kettle on for a welcoming brew. Light, bright and full of country-style charm, your designated chef will enjoy spending time cooking up a storm here and you can all tuck in and raise a toast at the dining table which comfortably seats all guests. Summer feasts call for sizzling BBQs savoured alfresco, step down and spend time together outside on the terrace where you’re treated to brilliant views and can hop in the hot tub afterwards. Finish your night with a game of table tennis in the games room, or head into the cosy lounge and warm up in front of the wood burner. The sofas perfectly sit around the coffee table so you can pile it high with treats and switch on the TV/DVD for a family film night. Make your way upstairs to rest your head in one of four spacious, sumptuous bedrooms. There is ample off-road parking.

After a gentle start to the day wandering the walks from the doorstep, head into bustling Bridport (1.5 miles) to pick up some picnic goodies or to suss out the local eateries. For a family-friendly beach day, Eype (4 miles) welcomes dogs all year round or travel 3.5 miles to the sands at West Bay, where canines are allowed at East Cliff all year round. Tuck into a tasty portion of fish and chips whilst watching the boats bobbing in the harbour, before spending your afternoon fossil hunting.

The cottage is in an idyllic and secluded location which is situated within easy driving range of many of the locations across Dorset and even Devon. We had a fantastic stay and visited the market in Bridport, the seaside ports of Charmouth, Weymouth, West Bay, Lime Regis and Beer. We also visited the Swannery in Abbotsbury and had a speed boat triRead morep from West Bay up and down the coast. We also went to the Bicton Botanical Gardens and went on a Jurassic Safari! Lovely old farmhouse. Very warm and comfortable. The location is perfect (quiet with lovely views across the fields at the rear of the property). The hot tub was a great success and had a lot of use even though our holiday was in November! There was also a trampoline which was an added bonus. Good location and not far from the coast. View spectacular. House great. All beds into singles is a real bonus. All facilities especially garden, hot tub, trampoline, ping pong, make it a kids paradise. Slope prevented cricket matches but plenty of football. Walk to pub down tracks is possible but walk back a step too far and often closed so everything else is a car or taxi ride. Cottage is delightful, views fantastic and bedrooms clean and comfortable. Nice large dining room table for family meal times. Table tennis table and trampoline perfect for children.

The location was idyllic, the farmhouse was very comfortable with everything we could want. It was the perfect place for our three generation family get-together. The enclosed garden was fabulous for our two setters and our grandsons really enjoyed the space, the trampoline & the table tennis, and despite the variable weather we enjoyed the hot tubRead more with the most spectacular views. We instantly felt at home at Dorset Cottage. The house is big enough to comfortably accomodate a large family, but cozy and homely. The layout of furniture and amenities is well thought out and perfectly presented! The garden is wonderfully manicured and the view 'to die for'! We spent our days in the hot tub, playing Frisbee and table tennis, walkRead moreing in the gorgeous countryside and playing boardgames in the evening. Idyllic is the only way to describe it! Hide

Beautifully well kept farmhouse with ample room, comfy bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen with some lovely welcome touches. Huge round dining table which is great for eating but a tad too big for board games. Hot tub has a gorgeous view and we highly recommend a sunset dip to take in the views. Great location and lovely house. Good quality all through the property and really nice to have more glasses, crockery and cutlery than the standard 8 settings you get elsewhere. Definitely to be recommended. The Spyway Inn is worth a visit, lovely people and food was great.

Beautiful cottage and really well equipped Will definitely return. But be warnedthe lane to the farmhouse seems susceptible to flooding, so if the weather is bad, be careful what car you bring.
