Brimming with country charm, tranquil tones and sociable spaces, this gorgeous cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms and is perfect for a break with family and friends. Less than 2 miles from the bustling hub of Bridport, and 2 miles from the dog-friendly sands at Eype, bring a pair of four-legged friends along and enjoy having a ball together. With creature comforts to welcome you back home after adventures, light the wood burner to get cosy or sit with a tipple in the pretty courtyard for an al fresco evening.

Set in a courtyard of cottages, wander through the picket gate, step up, and make your way inside your home from home. Beautifully fresh and inviting, the open-plan lounge/diner is a brilliant space in which to spend time. Throw a log on the wood burner and settle with a book, switch on the TV for a film night, or pop open a bottle and enjoy a games night for a competitive end to your day. When it’s time to cook up a storm, tear yourselves away from the comfortable sofas and head into the kitchen. Contemporary yet classic style creates a lovely atmosphere for the designated chef, and you will find all you need to throw together everything from tasty picnics to three-course feasts which can be enjoyed either inside or out. Climb stairs to rest your head in one of two wonderful bedrooms, one of which boasts a handy en-suite. Start your day with a soak in the family bathroom before heading downstairs for a morning coffee. There is parking in a nearby, free, public car park.

Pack your swimmers and head for a beach day at the local beach of Eype, which welcomes dogs all year round and sits beneath the dramatic peak of the Golden Cap. Tuck into a picnic or treat yourselves to a meal at a local eatery in the quiet village. For an inland adventure, travel 6 miles to the National Trust’s Pilsden Pen, home to a range of walks, far-reaching views and steeped in interesting history.

This cottage was charming and welcoming. The location was idyllic, it was well-equipped and the beds were the most comfortable that we had ever slept in! The cottage was embraced by a wonderful setting, including an art gallery, farm shop, boutique and lovely restaurant (where we ate several times) the food was locally sourced and delicious. AlthouRead moregh surrounded by these excellent facilities, the cottage was still very peaceful. There were lots of interesting places and beaches nearby. Hide

Very pretty, well equipped cottage, wonderfully situated in the courtyard of the estate, with lovely shops & cafe. Very uncomfortable pillows though suggest you bring your own.

Had a lovely stay at the dog friendly Dorset Hideaway, loved the estate shops & surrounding area & walks. It was lovely & peaceful, lovely having a coffee or a drink in the pretty garden. The staff were all very friendly, there is a wonderful old pub nearby too. The Symondsbury Estate is central to lots of lovely places to visit eg. West Bay, BridpRead moreort, Lyme Regis, Bourton Bradstock & many more. The cottage was well stocked, with lovely clean comfortable beds just a few minor issues easily sorted. Hide
