Brilliantly located for a family trip to Dorset, call this humble abode home and enjoy days at the beach. The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site is just 2 miles from your door and the bustling market town of Bridport is even closer. Sleeping five guests across three rooms, bring a pair of dogs along to enjoy the holiday with you and spend time cosied up by the wood burner, bouncing the night away on the trampoline or sipping a glass of something cold in the garden.

Wander the paved path to make your way inside at the rear of this quaint home. Once inside, forget about unpacking for a while and get snug in the cosy lounge. Get the open fire roaring, sink into the comfortable sofa and switch on the TV to unwind after your journey. Heading into the kitchen/diner, a wood burner promises to keep you toasty as you cook up a storm. Spacious and stylish, enjoy spending time experimenting with flavours before plating up at the table and raising a glass to time spent together. If nights are balmy, take a post-dinner tipple outside and admire the views over the surrounding fields, or head to the games room and challenge fellow guests to a game of table tennis. After lively nights, head upstairs to rest your head in one of three bedrooms, one of which has a TV for perfect lazy mornings under the covers, and all of which share the family bathroom. Wake up feeling revived and enjoy a refreshing shower before heading out to explore. There is ample off-road parking.

Head to the coast for fossil hunting, stick chasing and sea swimming adventures. Sitting below the Golden Cap, Eype Beach welcomes dogs all year round whilst the iconic beaches at West Bay (3.5 miles) have restrictions during summer months. Treat yourselves to a night off from the kitchen and enjoy a meal out in the vibrant hub of Bridport, where an eclectic arts scene, foodie delights and a plethora of quirky shops await.

The Old Post Office is a lovely 3 bed cottage, only a few minutes walk from the cafe, stores and pub. It has good dog walks on the Symondsbury Estate and it's just only 5 mins away from Bridport by car.

A super cosy chocolate box cottage. Had everything we needed. The little open fire in the lounge was perfect for a cold winter's night in. The location was perfect with proximity to great walks, days out and of course the estate with its wonderful kitchen restaurant. My wife would also strongly recommend the massage from Faye in the Shed boutique.

The Old Post Office cottage was very attractive and situated in Symonsbury village, just a short drive from Bridport. It was clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. The bed was a Super Kingsize and beautifully comfortable. The bathroom had both shower cubicle and bath available with lots of lovely continuous hot water available. Lots of rooRead morem around the cottage for parking and a safe and enclosed garden for our two dogs. Would definitely return and highly recommend. Hide

Lovely property set in beautiful grounds. The photos do not do it justice. Especially surprised there were no photos of the games room and trampoline which were highlights for our 10 year old. Also the garden was bigger than we expected as was the parking area. We all loved Symondsbury and this property.
