This charming cottage is set in a peaceful rural position and has all you need for a relaxing break with family or friends, including a hot tub, generous garden, beautiful views and games room.

Surrounded by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and less than 5 miles from the spectacular Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, this home is perfect for adventurers. Sleeping six across three bedrooms, this bolthole is 3 miles from the heart of Bridport, so you can enjoy your peaceful location whilst knowing you are close to local amenities. Welcoming two of your dogs, the outside space is great for games of fetch and a bubble in the hot tub.

Walk the gravel path which leads you through the large garden and make your way inside. Perfect for when you get caught in the rain, leave outer layers and leads in the utility room which is handily located off the entrance hall. Post-explore, head into the open-plan kitchen/diner to pop the kettle on. Brimming with country style and charm, enjoy warming up with a brew and cooking up a storm in this space, where you can also dine together with friends and family and raise a toast to time spent together. For a film night or to warm up by the wood burner, head into the lounge which welcomes you to relax in front of the TV, or make your way to the games barn for a competitive night of table tennis. Emerge victoriously and celebrate with a soak and a drink in the hot tub, the perfect al fresco end to your day. After a good night’s sleep in one of three lovely bedrooms, two of which boast en-suites, wander the garden and its blossoming flowerbeds with a coffee. There is off-road parking for four cars.

Pack your bags, grab the dog a bone, and head out to explore. The iconic beaches at West Bay are a fantastic place to set up camp for the day, amongst the sand and sea, and you can tuck into a tasty portion of fish and chips for lunch. Dogs must be kept on the leads in the port area when visiting throughout summer months. For an inland adventure, the National Trust’s Pilsdon Pen is 4.5 miles from your door and is steeped in history with panoramic views.

We had a lovely weeks stay at Dorset Thatch. The cottage & garden are both beautiful and the location was great, so quiet and rural but with easy access to bridport and beaches. Coffee outside in the morning listening to the birds was idyllic with plenty of space for our 2.5 year old to play. We did leave some feedback directly with the owners relaRead moreting to housekeeping improvements but overall a lovely stay and we would definitely go back. Hide

An utterly lovely and private detached cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Beautiful walks and a peaceful location. The garden was also great for the dog - she was quite disappointed when we got home!

This accommodation is stunning. We had a wonderful stay with our grown up children and their dog, very relaxing. Hot tub was really good and plenty of comfortable garden furniture. Welcome pack was great and we would certainly like to stay again.
