A coastal cabin set beneath the much photographed Golden Cap. With easy access to the dog-friendly beach, village centre and the South West Coast Path, it’s the ideal base for a relaxing break.

Fantastically located on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and surrounded by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this seaside home is perfect for lovers of the great outdoors and their dogs. Sleeping four across two bedrooms, find yourselves just a stone's throw from the dog friendly beach where you can relax or splash in the sea all day long.

 

Stepping inside this single-storey property, make yourselves at home as you choose your bedroom and unpack. Pop the kettle on in the kitchen and brew some tea to enjoy together whilst you make plans for your holiday. With all you need to feed four hungry mouths and those of your four-legged friends, the kitchen is a lovely space in which to spend time experimenting with flavours and family favourites. Bright, light and open plan, the lounge/dining room is perfect for plating up a delicious feast and is a great spot in which to unwind after beach days and time exploring. The pair of sofas invite you to sink down and switch off in front of the TV, or put on a DVD for a film night with plenty of treats, or just admire the sea glimpses through the French doors. Post-film, savour a tipple on the enclosed decking, where a BBQ and sun loungers are the perfect ingredients for a sundowner evening alfresco. Two tranquil, pretty bedrooms offer you some peace and quiet and are lovely rooms in which to rest your head for the night before you rise and shine and freshen up in the stylish bathroom. There is off-road parking for one car.

 

Sitting beneath the towering Golden Cap, the beach at Eype is a wonderful destination for all the family, welcoming dogs all year round and less than half a mile away. Enjoy a day on the beach and tuck into a tasty picnic or treat yourselves to dinner at the village pub or the tearooms. Just 7.5 miles from home, Stonebarrow Hill is a great starting point for a hike with the dog and leads to over 25 miles of well-trodden trails which wind their way around the National Trust’s, Golden Cap estate.

Comfortable cottage, stones throw from beach and only short drive everywhere to explore local area. Good walks from door and Rise in West Bay, The Anchor at Seatown particularly good as was the food and service at the Anchor Burton Bradstock. Symondsbury estate and walks also worth a visit. Great short break.

This was lovely holiday accommodation. Warm, cosy and comfortable for our autumn stay with all our needs catererd for. The location was fantastic. A truly wonderful location, views of the sea from a number of different angles and the sound of waves breaking on the beach just a short stroll away, beach accessed by short slopped path and some steps. Lovely accommodation a stones through away from the beach we were slightly let down that our Chalet did not quite fulfil the sea view would were hoping for which would have helped considerably due to the awful 2 weeks of bad weather we encountered so there was lot of Netflix & Games though we did get to have some good walks with the dog as scenery Read morewas pretty spectacular from the clifftops We would stay again as the comfort of the chalet & had everything available regarding kitchen amenities. What a lovely cottage. Decor and furniture was to a very high standard. What let it down was the exterior of the cottage at the front and on the rear decking. Decking overgrown with brambles and the hedge needed trimming . There was a large gap in the decking which was unsafe for small children and small dogs I have emailed the owner with these comRead morements. Other than this it was great. Hide

We had a wonderful week at Beach Retreat. It had everything we could need and was spotlessly clean. The location is amazing. Right at the beach. We would definitely recommend this cottage for a holiday.

We really liked the cottage, enjoyed our stay and had very relaxing time. It is an ideal location for the beach and some good local walks. Everything we needed was provided and from our point of view it was perfect.

Patio door seal requires replacing ,bath over flow require attention or you will get damp. There is some damp in the utility room . We enjoyed our stay and would return again

Very nice, comfortable and well appointed. We were there for the 'super hot' weather and we were able to keep the property cool with windows open etc. Well appointed kitchen and just a short walk to the beach. We had a good week and our dog enjoyed the property and we could relax knowing she was safe on the deck which is fenced.

Absolutely lovely beach cottage with excellent decor and facilities. There is a property directly in front of this one which unfortunately has a raised fence and a pampas grass blocking what could be a wonderful sea view. However, the rear enclosed decking has a nice view of the rolling hillside. Our little dog enjoyed the open grass area in front Read moreof the property and the pebble beach is a hundred yards away. Superb location. We found Beach Retreat to be very comfortable and warm, with plenty of hot water. Loved our weekend here.
