  • Peaceful village setting close to the South West Coast Path
  • Ideally placed for visiting Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Ringstead Bay
  • Enclosed garden and attractive, contemporary styling throughout
Property code: 78349

Contemporary single storey property set within a pretty rural village. Ideally placed for trips to the beach, touring the Dorset countryside or long walks along the South West Coast Path

A fantastic abode from which to explore, hop on the South West Coast Path (2 miles), swim in the sea at Lulworth Cove (4.5 miles) or travel 9 miles to the county town of Dorchester for a food and film night. Sleeping five guests over three bedrooms, bring your pup along too and enjoy sandy, adventurous days and relaxing nights in the bright living space, perfect for sociable evenings with family and friends.

Wander the pathway (shared with neighbouring properties) and head inside to unpack your provisions and settle in. Forming the heart of the home, and a welcoming hub in which to spend all your time, the living space is compromised of the kitchen, lounge and dining areas. Flooded with natural light from the bi-fold doors and skylight, and decorated in fresh, coastal tones, the kitchen is a tranquil space in which to cook up a storm, relax with a mug of tea and pour over a map to plan the day’s adventures. Plate up either at the long dining table with garden views or fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco for a sundowner evening. For chilly nights and a post-adventure relax, turn on the wood burner effect electric fire and snuggle on the sofa or take a seat on the chair and delve into a book or a DVD. Two doubles and a single bedroom await weary heads and are beautifully light, tranquil spaces in which to drift off and wake up. Sharing the family bathroom, enjoy a soak in the tub or freshen up in the shower over the bath before heading out. There is off-road parking for one car.

Pack your swimmers, grab the dog a bone and head 4.5 miles to the iconic beach at Lulworth Cove. From here walk 1.5 miles to Durdle Door and marvel at the magnificent arch from the clifftop. Take a night off from the kitchen and treat yourselves to a meal out and a film night in Dorchester, the county town (9 miles), where a handful of eateries and pair of cinemas can be found.

  • 3 Bedrooms – 2 doubles and 1 single + 1 fold up single bed on request, suitable 12yr and under
  • 1 Bathroom with shower over bath and WC
  • Electric oven and induction hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer

A lovely cottage in top notch condition. All amenities we needed were provided with detailed information provided for using everything (e.g. heating, kitchen equipment, etc). Very relaxing location with a view from the back onto a herd of sheep and a horse :) and a pub walking distance away. Off street parking for the car. We had a wonderful week!

A real home from home. The place was very clean, superbly equipped and the surrounding so peaceful. Being midway between the sandy beaches of sandbanks and Weymouth and a short drive from Dorchester meant it was the perfect central base for our family trip.
