The property is tucked within a characterful, no through side street in a peaceful rural town which is surrounded by four of Dorset's highest peaks, offering excellent walking and cycle routes.

Close to the heart of town, this striking, converted chapel is perfectly situated for a fantastic getaway. Just 8 miles away is the wonderful beach at West Bay, one of many gems dotting the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and a great place to spend a family day by the sea. Perfect for small families or couples looking to escape the everyday, this home sleeps four over two bedrooms and has a private courtyard waiting to be filled with the clink of glasses as you raise a toast to a fabulous holiday.

Great for a small car, and making unpacking an easy feat, pull up and park in the off-road parking space or find a space outside on the road. Once inside, climb to the first floor where the living space welcomes you with open arms and creates an inviting hub of the home. Beautifully light and bright, the striking window is a gorgeous feature and high ceilings help to create a calm and spacious ambience. Cosy up in front of the TV before setting the table for dinner and heading into the kitchen to concoct a feast. With all you need to cater for all occasions, rustle up something delicious and then pack the leftovers into a picnic to feed you on tomorrow’s adventures. Post-dinner, descend to the ground floor and head outside to enjoy a tipple or two in the courtyard, the perfect way to end your day. With a bedroom on each floor, drift off for a peaceful night’s sleep before starting your day with a soak in the tub and an al fresco coffee.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage over the Christmas period. The location was fantastic, the village was lovely, and the playground and field just behind the house kept our two girls very happy. The property was clean, bright, well equipped, and very comfortable. There was plenty of space for 4 of us to enjoy the festive period. The house was Read moredecorated for Christmas and there was a generous welcome gift which was much appreciated. All in all, a really nice stay. Hide

Our second visit to Chapel Cottage visiting Beaminster to be near our family. We were very comfortable. Convenient shopping within walking distance, altogether a great place to stay.

Comfortable accommodation with just about everything you need in an excellent location. The central square with shops and pubs is a few minutes walk. Beaminster a lovely little town surrounded by lovely countryside.

Very nice spacious accommodation, ideal for visiting the surrounding area. While I have given five stars, the driveway, such as it is, is too small for anything larger than a Ford Fiesta sized car and is more sloped that it would appear to be in the pictures. Also, backing in means that the driver can only get out via the passenger door. Parking inRead more the street is ok although we had to park a couple of hundred yards away at times. Hide

We appreciated not needing to buy toilet roll because enough for our whole stay was provided (unlike all previous places we have stayed)! A lovely spacious place to stay. Our boys are 9 and 12 years old, when they were younger we wouldn't have wanted a place with the second bedroom on a different floor, but it worked very well for us now they are aRead more bit older. A quiet location, even though only about 100m to shops, at least 4 places to eat and 2 take-aways, a skate park and children's play area. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay in South Chapel, it was so clean and comfortable. One of if not the best accommodation we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot over the years. Would love to stay again sometime.
