This welcoming property is set on the outskirts of the pretty village of Corfe Castle. Its inviting dog friendly garden and proximity to great walks makes it the ideal base for a family holiday.

With views over the ruins of Corfe Castle, direct access to Corfe Common, and creature comforts, this charming dwelling is perfect for family, friends and pups to escape to. Sleeping six across three bedrooms, spend days exploring, stick chasing and sea swimming before returning home for sundowner evenings on the terrace. The golden sands of Swanage and neighbouring, dog-friendly Monkey Beach, are just 5 miles from home, so you can pack your towels and your picnic and head out for beach days close to home.

Step up and into this characterful abode which is brimming which country charm and welcoming spaces. The open fire will be a hit with all guests, both two and four-legged, and is a real treat after long sandy, muddy days spent in the great outdoors. Settle down on one of the sofas and delve into a book from the shelf, or challenge fellow guests to a game of scrabble for a competitive afternoon in. Colourful tiles and lots of natural light create a relaxing cooking environment in the kitchen. Experiment with flavours on the Range-style oven and find the fridge/freezer in the utility room, a handy space to wash and dry clothes and leave outer layers and shoes in between adventures. Find three bedrooms on the first floor, all with bursts of colour and all you need to drift off in peace. Take your morning coffee outside and step up to the patio for a breath of fresh air and lovely views. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Leave the car behind and head straight from the garden onto the National Trust’s Corfe Common, great for a game of fetch and to spot wildlife. From the common, spy the remains of Corfe Castle and walk less than a mile to wander the magical remnants of this charming building. Follow the Purbeck Ridgeway trail from Corfe Castle, past the Old Harry Rocks to Swanage, and catch a glimpse of The Needles on The Isle of Wight on a clear day. The walk is approximately 9 miles in total, great for day’s hiking with your pup.

Beautifully situated cottage, especially for dog owners, with the lovely common just behind the house. The house is warm and welcoming. Perfect for exploring the Purbecks. We thoroughly enjoyed being there. The house has everything you need but there could be a few improvements made.

It is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac about 3/4 mile from the village centre (there is a pretty walk across the common, avoiding the main road); Corfe is very busy in the middle of summer so being slightly away was a bonus. Very cosy cottage. Ideal for those with dogs as Corfe Castle is accessible directly from the back garden. The centre of the village is just a relatively short walk away on a footpath just opposite the property. Highly recommended. Keith and Mary.

Lovely cottage, super dog friendly with access to common from garden gate, lovely for morning walks. Location is really convenient for Studland and Swanage, but Corfe village has most things you need and is 10 minutes along path without touching roads. Nice enclosed garden with good outdoor seating.
