The perfect destination for beach lovers, walkers and stick chasers, this pretty home sits 7 miles from the golden cliffs and sand at West Bay, and 5.5 miles from vibrant Bridport. Sleeping six guests across three bedrooms, and welcoming two pups too, spend your days following the South West Coast Path and hunting out cliff-top picnic spots before returning home for sociable dinners with family and friends, and al fresco sundowner drinks in the courtyard.

Follow the shared path and steps before making your way inside the cottage you will be calling home for a while. After a long journey or a day in the great outdoors, fire up the wood burner effect electric fire and snuggle up on one of the comfortable sofas to unwind. There is plenty of sofa space for everyone to curl up in the lounge/diner, and ample room to lay down a board game from the shelf for a fun-filled games night. Plate up at the table after rustling up treats in the bright kitchen where there is room for a couple of chefs among you to cook up a storm. For al fresco drinks and a morning coffee, head outside to the gravelled courtyard for some fresh air and to hear the sound of the church bells. Another great spot for your morning coffee is the sunroom which overlooks the pretty courtyard and is flooded with natural light. Three tranquil bedrooms reside on the first floor, the master has an en-suite, whilst the remaining two rooms share the family bathroom where you can enjoy a bubbling soak to start the day. There is off-road parking for one small car.

Head into Bridport (5.5 miles) to pick up some goodies from the weekly markets on your way to West Bay (7 miles). Spend your day sea swimming, building sandcastles and tucking into a picnic before treating yourselves to a harbour-side dinner. Dogs can scatter the sand with pawprints all year round at Eype Beach (8 miles). For spectacular views reaching as far as Dartmoor, travel 10.5 miles to the Golden Cap, a great place for dog walking and hiking.

This is a lovely little cottage. Clean and tidy. Nice quiet location, and I loved hearing the church bells chime the time. It was easy to get to lots of places from there such as charmouth beach for fossil hunting. The carparking space is for one car only and is very small, and we could not fit the car in. there is a car park just behind the cottagRead moree that is 1 per day so we used that with no issues. We recommend the Hare and Hound for dinner too, dog friendly, very tasty food and friendly staff. Hide

Once inside the property we noticed a musty smell which was unpleasant. We assumed it had been unoccupied previously. It was by and large clean but needed freshening up and some extra care. Maybe a spring clean!

Cottage is quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed that immensely. Also cosy and fairly comfortable. We found the TV system very cumbersome, difficult and time consuming to manage.

A comfy, well equipped and roomy cottage, in a quiet village (except for the church bells ringing on the quarter). Its close to the seaside and we enjoyed days at Bridport/west bay, Lyme Regis and Seatown. The Dorset narrow windy roads needed getting used to!

The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful setting, it is well equipped and spacious, but needed a good clean throughout. It also has a damp problem, which might be a concern for people, like my wife, who have chest problems. Maybe a dehumidifier would help. With the damp sorted and a thorough clean, I would recommend a stay there to my friends. Hide

Lovely cottage , appreciated the quiet and beautiful location. It was really well equipped- we stay in cottages regularly and it makes such a difference to have items such as kitchen roll and tin foil provided .

Lovely cottage in a very quiet village with very little light pollution, so you might want to bring a head torch if going out at night... Though if you can do without, you'll see more stars! Bedrooms were all comfortable, showers had plenty of pressure & warm water, and the living room was spacious and relaxing.
