Tucked amongst verdant countryside just waiting to be explored, and less than 3 miles from the South West Coast Path, this home is perfectly located for a relaxing getaway. With stunning scenery around you, head out to explore and travel 5 miles to the magnificent cove at Lulworth before returning for an al fresco BBQ banquet or a cosy night by the wood burner. Wander the shared pathway to your door and step inside to load the cupboards with provisions and delicious, local produce. Sleek and light, the kitchen creates a calming environment in which to cook up a storm, with an ice compartment for chilled evening drinks and a handy dishwasher to help out post-dinner. Dine in style in the sunroom where natural light floods the space and there are gorgeous garden views or bask in the last of the sun and dine alfresco on the raised patio. Perfect for chilly afternoons, fire up the wood burner in the lounge and relax in front of the TV on the comfortable sofa before running a bath for a soothing soak and heading to bed. Both bedrooms are pretty and light, with tranquil tones to help you drift off and dream. There is off-road parking for one car.

Visit the magnificent remains of the National Trust’s Corfe Castle (13.5 miles), before continuing onto Dancing Ledge (18 miles from home) for a dip in the tidal pool and a refreshing end to your day. Closer to home, the horseshoe-shaped cove at Lulworth (5 miles) is perfect for a beach day and welcomes dogs all year round. Walk 1.5 miles from the beach to marvel at the majestic arch at Durdle Door. Head south from your door and straight onto the South West Coast Path (3 miles) at White Nothe, where you can follow the Smuggler’s Path and scramble down the ladder to the quiet beach.

Great location for exploring Dorsets coast and countryside. Clean and comfortable, nice garden for warm days, evenings. Village pub friendly, menu fine if somewhat limited and food well prepared and very good.

Although dogs are allowed the cottage was lovely and clean when we arrived. It is very conveniently located for the Jurassic Coast and Weymouth beach. It was extremely easy to find using Google maps and the area is very quiet and a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Great location, very peaceful with super walks straight from the front door and a great pub. The accommodation was super clean, well equipped and the provision of milk, biscuits tea and coffee was a nice bonus. The dog exercise field opposite was most welcome for those early morning/ later evening strolls as the garden is not 100% dog proof.

Lovely bungalow with lovely garden ideal for sitting out and dog. Well equipped. Shop in nearby village and pub near by though we found menu limited. Lovely clean and well equipped property. Just what we needed for a few days away. Lulworth Cove nearby which is lovely. We visited the Countryman Inn for breakfast a couple of times as they are super dog friendly. The Sailors Return was nice for a few drinks in the evening. Very quiet location and gorgeous countryside. We really enjoyed our stay.

If you want an 'off the beaten track' quiet and secluded getaway in close proximity to some of the South coast's best locations then this is ideal. A few niggles but that is being picky, very few places are perfect. Probably a little too remote for my wife but fine for me as the pub was only a few hundred yards away. Wouldn't recommend it to everyoRead morene due to its remoteness but would recommend to those that seek peace and serenity in a true country cottage setting. Hide

Beautiful, quiet location and property - there was always enough hot water, heating, wood for the fire and very comfortable, clean beds and furniture. Perfect countryside for dog walks straight from the property with quiet roads and the coastal paths. We didn't want to leave! Wouldnt hesitate to go there again.
