Set within the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this coastal cottage comfortably sleeps six guests across three stylish bedrooms. It’s made for holiday getaways to the popular coastal town of Swanage in East Dorset with its sandy beach made for bucket-and-spade fun, and crabbing on the historic pier; and you have the convenience of shops, pubs, and eateries within half a mile, and roadside parking at the front of the property. The magnificent Studland Bay (3.5 miles) is in reach, and you had hop on ferries there for further adventures in Bournemouth and Poole
Head up the path and step inside this charming end-of-terrace Victorian family home. Kick back after a busy day of shopping and exploring in the living room, and catch up on sport on the Smart TV. Cook up a storm in the small though well-equipped kitchen and feast in the dining room. A great night’s sleep awaits in the cosy bedrooms, a magnificent king-size bedroom with a huge bay window and an enviable vanity/dressing area, plus a double bedroom with garden views on the first floor; bunk bedroom and a twin with characterful sloping ceilings on the second. And dine alfresco in the sunny enclosed courtyard garden.
Enjoy traditional seaside fun in Swanage from family-friendly amusement arcades and crazy golf to walks on the promenade. Hop on the Swanage Railway (0.5 miles) which steams towards the Isle of Purbeck and Corfe Castle where you can explore the village and castle ruins which inspired author Enid Blyton in the Famous Five books. You can even hike the Purbeck Hills (8.5 miles). Another Blyton favourite is Brownsea Island, a wildlife sanctuary abundant with curious red squirrels. Or discover Durlston Country Park (1.5 miles), the perfect place to learn about conservation and take a leafy walk surrounded by nature.
