Sitting on the border of Devon, Dorset and Somerset, this character cottage is the ideal romantic retreat for two. Overlooking the rolling hills of East Devon, this single-level property sits on the 5-acre grounds of the owner’s home, and boasts some fabulous original features like vaulted ceilings with exposed beams. Spend your days windsurfing or kayaking along the coast, and your nights sipping wine on the property’s pretty patio.
Come home to this gorgeous cottage and you’ll find a handy boot rack and brush area just outside the stable split door – the perfect place to clean off those sand-covered accessories after a day exploring the Jurassic Coast. Step inside and you’ll find an impressive main room where you can cook, dine and relax. Cook up a romantic meal for two and eat in the intimate dining area, or head outside and dine alfresco on the patio. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of something cool and crisp and enjoy the evening air, or head inside to cuddle up in front of the TV. At the end of the day there’s a beautiful dual-aspect bedroom in which to retire. In the morning, draw back the curtains and admire the country views from the comfort of your bed.
