On arrival you’ll first spot the owner’s koi pond, a pretty addition that welcomes you to this unique accommodation. Step inside to find an open-plan lounge/diner which is spacious, bright and cheerful. Sink into the armchair or comfy sofa and catch up on your favourite shows late at night. The kitchen can be found next door, a contemporary space with galley-style fittings and all of the required cooking amenities. Follow a stunning route along the River Lim to get to Lyme Regis (2 miles), a much-loved tourist spot with seaside attractions and plenty of sandy beaches to spend the afternoon. Venture down to the shingle shores of The Cobb to embrace water sports, swimming or surfing when the conditions are right. From here you can explore the Jurassic Coast, a heritage attraction where you could go fossil hunting on the beaches. Be sure to visit Weymouth (28 miles) throughout your stay, soaking up the far-reaching sea views on your travels via car or public transport and grab a bite to eat in this popular seaside town.

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. The owners were friendly and helpful and provided a generous welcome pack. We enjoyed our stay in spite of the wet weather and would recommend Dove Cottage for anyone.

Excellent accommodation especially for my husband who has walking problems. The owner was brilliant, helpful re where to go. The welcome pack was really good, milk, coffee, jam pots, tea etc. nothing could be faulted. A lovely area. Hopefully we will return.

Lovely clean warm cottage with all the comforts of home. Appreciated the coffee, milk, cookies and fresh eggs that were left for us. Really comfortable bed. Quiet location but only 1.5 mile walk into Lyme Regis.

Cottage was very clean and comfortable and set well away from any main roads, very spacious living and sleeping rooms, kitchen was big and very well equipped, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and most other things you could need. Only small downside is the size of the bathroom/shower room, but for two people it is good, only one at a tiRead moreme anyway. Nice, basic, unfussy. Great Smart TV and good broadband, comfortable large bed. Shame the shower room's not bigger but you can't have it all can you? Host is welcoming but left us alone for the time between arriving and leaving.

Beautifully presented and well maintained holiday home. Located just outside Uplyme in a secluded and peaceful position with hardly any passing traffic. Being in the countryside in a quiet hollow the night sky has to be one of the best around. The heavens are full of stars and I could stand in the garden at night and see the Milky Way! The cottage is lovely, spacious and spotlessly clean and has ample parking. There is a nice sun trap of a courtyard with seating to sit and enjoy a drink. The cottage is plenty big enough for two (and a dog) with TV, books and local information literature. There was a very generous welcome pack on arrival and the host was on hand if needed. The cottage was lovely, spacious, restful, well-furnished and easy to manage. The owners were friendly and extremely helpful. The cottage and its situation are very beautiful, down a narrow road, and surrounded by lovely countryside. This is a lovely base for two people - we took our 9 month old puppy with us and there was plenty of space for us all. Might have been a bit different if the weather had been wet, not much space to wash a dog or dry towels but luckily we had lovely weather, and we were able to sit out in the terraced area and enjoy the peace and quiet. Very comfortable and well maintained Cottage. Very enjoyable stay. The small patio is a lovely sun trap in the afternoons and summer evenings. we found some lovely walks across the meadow to the village and a lovely walk from the village into Lyme Regis beside the river.

A lovely little cottage set in the middle of the countryside. It's a 15 minute walk along narrow unlit roads to the nearest shop and pub but short cuts are available across the fields when they dry out a bit. I wouldn't describe it as dog friendly as there is no enclosed area to let them out and nowhere to wash their muddy feet but dogs are allowedRead more and our two had a great time. The rural location which was perfect for us as it was quiet and peaceful. With a short walk you could get on to the local footpath which was lovely and beautifuRead morel landscape all around and good for dog walking. I would really recommend the walk to Lyme Regis as it was a nice easy path to walk on. The accommodation was lovely, well equipped kitchen and appliances with fresh linen and towels. The owners were so helpful and really nice people. We were provided with a welcome pack so we didnt have to worry about making a cup of tea after a long journey as the milk was already there. Very peaceful setting. Lovely, friendly owner. Not one for people who don't like driving along narrow, winding lanes. However, we did enjoy our stay very much despite the narrow lanes. Close to Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth. Ideal for dog owners, as close to many footpaths across the fields.

The cottage is lovely and well furnished with everything you would need. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cutlery. It was nice to find milk and teabags. The owners are lovely and live next door and available if there are any problems.

This is a beautiful little cottage with a gorgeous area to sit outside & enjoy a cuppa or something a little stronger & watch the birds, there are beautiful plants & shrubs with a fabulous raised pond as a water feature. The cottage is very quiet which we quite like, there is a really nice walk around 2 miles into Lyme Regis & the local pub (The TaRead morelbot) is about 1/2 mile walk with a lovely beer garden & friendly staff. Apart from the comment regarding the mattress the cottage was well appointed with high end appliances. It had very effective underfloor heating except in the bedroom which has no heating (not needed). There was sufficient parking for a car. Beware that many of the roads around the area are single track roads. If coming from the north avoid sat-nav Read moredirections as the roads are single track and very steep in places. Owner's guidance regarding getting to the cottage advisable. Shower room snug! Hide
