Sprawl out over the two comfortable sofas and watch a film on the large Smart TV or snuggle up together and witness the sun setting beyond the rolling countryside through the patio doors. The kitchen area is bright and spacious with plenty of space to cook up a romantic meal for two, which can be served on the elegant dining table. Off to one side, there is a handy utility area with a washer/dryer for any clothes that have been muddied during an adventure. At bedtime, retreat to the king-size bedroom and get comfortable in the robes and slippers provided while watching a program on the Smart TV before sinking into slumber on your choice of comfy pillows. Leading out of a set of patio doors is a sunny terrace, complete with garden furniture and a private hot tub to make the most of those long summer evenings.

Located just 3.5 miles from the town of Yeovil, the property enjoys a peaceful location with plenty to see and do just a short distance away. In the town, you’ll find an array of shops and restaurants for a light bite or to do a little shopping. Visit one of the National Trust gardens in the area for a great family day out exploring interesting grounds and eating tasty treats in the cafes, with a choice between Tintinhull Garden (8 miles) and Montacute House (7.5 miles). For a day trip to the coast, Chesil Beach (24 miles) which stretches for 18 miles, is covered with shingles and offers a majestic walk beside the sea all year round.

The property was lovely and well provisioned. The wine chocolates and milk on arrival was a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay and the view from the balcony made it a lovely place to unwind in the evening.

Beautiful cottage set in lovely countryside. The attention to detail was second to none. Everything you could possibly need and more was in that cottage. Lovely relaxing quiet stay, everything you need is provided. Clean, comfortable accommodation and hot tub is lovely. Everything was perfect with our stay with exception to our confirmed/organised late check out as this was changed/cancelled by the owner by text at 8.45pm on our final night, other then that everything else was spot on!

Stayed @ Stag's Retreat: very high quality accommodation - every detail considered. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Easy arrival with clear instructions. Lovely touch with a 'welcome' bottle of wine and chocolates. Christmas decorations a great touch too. Location was good and very quiet for us - hot tub screening on the decking may leave a Read morelittle to be desired at busier times of year, adjacent as ours was nearer the site road rather than at the back which other chalets had-lovely tho! We had an amazing stay at the Stags retreat. Such a clean, peaceful and warm location. The hot tub was the highlight and we couldn't have asked for a better location and accommodation. I would recommend stags retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful few days away.

Excellent property. Comfortable, spacious and clean. It has lovely views across the countryside and the outside area is a great place to sit on a warm evening.
