Set in a peaceful location on the outskirts of Weymouth, this pretty cottage makes a wonderful base for families and friends looking to explore the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. With easy access to the town of Weymouth, and an assortment of beaches, landscapes and attractions nearby, this delightful property is perfectly placed for exploring the region, while offering a lovely, homely base to relax and unwind.

Arranged over two storeys, this three-bedroom cottage blends traditional features with a contemporary style, resulting in a warm and welcoming ambiance. The light and airy lounge offers a lovely spot to snuggle at the end of the day to watch a film or read a book while warming your toes by an open fire on chilly evenings. Prepare meals in the cottage-style kitchen before gathering together around the dining table to chat about your holiday plans. Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms, some with ornamental fireplaces, along with the family bathroom. Outside, the pretty garden ambles over several levels, blending lawn, seating areas and flowered borders.

It’s around 4 miles to the centre of Weymouth with its historic harbour, long sandy beach, an assortment of shops and eateries, and attractions including the aquarium. Alternatively, visit wild and rugged Chesil Beach (8.5 miles) on the Jurassic Coast to go fossil hunting or birdwatching on Fleet Lagoon, which backs onto the beach. Walkers, cyclists and nature lovers are spoilt for choice with dramatic coastal walks and picturesque landscapes, with the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty being one of the best wildlife areas in the country. For a change of scenery, head inland to the county town of Dorchester (4 miles) to explore the Roman townhouse, visit museums, and discover the birthplace of the writer and poet, Thomas Hardy.

Honeysuckle Cottage has everything you want. Warm, cosy and welcoming with bonus of a delicious cake. Even the dogs were well catered for. We would happily recommend.

This is a really lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Easy access to Dorchester and Weymouth plus many other places. The cottage is well equipped. Very nice Smart TV with a large screen. Kitchen is well equipped. Would recommend.

We had a lovely four night stay in this charming cottage that was full of personal touches. The location was perfect for a peaceful break away in an interesting and beautiful village. The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped. We would think about returning here and would definitely recommend it to others.

Honeysuckle Cottage is a delightful place to stay. It has all the home comforts you need, and there are many extras to make it even more special. The delicious cake on arrival, the wine and milk in the fridge, the fresh flowers, the extra towels and biscuits for our 2 dogs, all added to the welcoming feel. The cottage was in a beautiful location, immaculately clean and very cosy. A great base from which to explore the area. It felt like the owners had thought of everything a family might need. Honeysuckle Cottage is a real olde worlde home from home with a cosy open fire & a well equipped kitchen with everything one would need. It was spotless & the sweet little courtyard garden is perfect. The Dorset coast is spectacular & we found plenty of dog friendly walks & places to eat. An absolutely lovely property, very tastefully decorated and with a lovely garden. A very quiet and peaceful location, ample on-street parking (we were out every day, but always managed to park opposite). A little way out of town, it is on a cute little road that is only a short drive to both Weymouth and Bowleaze Cove (which we much preferred) andRead more nice to be away from the hustle and bustle.
