This stylish former barn is family and dog friendly, with far-reaching views and wide open spaces not to mention the wood burner to relax in front of after a long day. A great choice for a relaxing holiday.

Nestled in a rural spot about half a mile from Okeford Fitzpaine, this stylish retreat offers far-reaching country views, a warm and welcoming interior, and use of an all-weather indoor tennis court. Located on an organic farm, this family-friendly property welcomes up to four people, and can be combined with the neighbouring property to welcome larger groups.

Accessed by an unmade road that can be a little bumpy in places, this spacious semi-detached property is timber-clad with tranquil country views. The ground floor is mostly open plan with long windows and patio doors to make the most of those glorious views. Snuggle in front of the wood burner after a bracing country walk, and rustle up family favourites in the galley-style kitchen before dining at the dining table or the picnic table outside. Enjoy a refreshing night’s sleep in the comfortable first-floor bedrooms, watching for the sloping roofs that add charm and character. There’s an open terrace to the rear of the property, with a field for kids to run and play safely.

This rural property is paradise for walkers, cyclists and horse riders (you can request access to a stable and paddock, should you wish to bring your horse), with numerous trails from your front door. Explore Blackmore Vale, wander along part of the Wessex Ridgeway, or take the 3-mile journey to the pretty market town of Sturminster Newton to stroll along the river and admire the working water mill. Visit Hambledon Hill and Hod Hill (5 miles) to see the remains of an Iron Age fort and beautiful surrounding countryside, or visit the pretty Georgian town of Blandford Mill (7 miles) to visit the local museum and brewery.

Very comfortable and welcoming barn with beautiful views and a great assortment of wildlife that visit at dusk, especially the Barn Owl. Be sure not to miss the spectacular sunsets! It was perfect for our dog who loved the freedom of running around the field and exploring the area! Location stunning, The drive way down is an unmade road, so take it slow but its fine. No big bumps. The barn next door to us it being renovated, so a bit of noise going on , but as we were out exploring the area, when we came home it was peaceful again. Great Dorset countryside .

Lovely Barn Conversion that has amazing views. If you have read in previous reviews that the road to the barn is bumpy, It was on the day we arrived (albeit not as bad as I was expecting) but this was relaid while we were there (so now nice and smooth!) Barn is furnished to a really high standard. Make sure you open the Velux window upstairs to givRead moree you a mini-balcony to check out those views in the evening. Say Hi to the Barn Owl that flies past each night as the sun starts to go down. Hide
