With this charming property situated right on the Devon/Dorset border, you’re within easy reach of the varied landscapes and picturesque villages. Return to this ground-floor cottage and gather the family to eat outside on the immaculate patio.

Welcoming you into this single-level property is the open-plan living room/kitchen/dining area which is a great social space, leading directly out into the garden through a set of French doors. For cosy nights in, the lounge area has a comfortable corner sofa, a Smart TV and a flame-effect electric fireplace creating a lovely space to relax. On the opposite side of the space is the kitchen, equipped with all you need to cook up a treat for breakfast, lunch and dinner which can then be served on the four-person dining table. The first of the bedrooms is a king-size and brings the outside in through the decor and the use of a large window looking out to the lush greenery. For kids, the twin room is a fantastic option, neutrally decorated and enjoying views of the garden. Completing the property is the family shower room. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed garden with an artificial grass lawn and a patio where you can dine alfresco on the garden furniture and soak up the sunshine.

Located close to the A35 in the village of Tytherleigh, this property enjoys easy access to a fantastic range of days out. Right on the doorstep are several rural walks, leading you through woodland and an ancient Iron Age hillfort. Just 5 miles away is the town of Axminster where you can find a selection of foodie delights, including Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen and Deli. Further south, Lyme Regis (8.5 miles) and Charmouth (9 miles) offer beautiful beaches to explore along the Jurassic Coast, both being known as prime locations to hunt for fossils.

Lovely accommodation, in a fantastic location for exploring local areas. 15 mins to the cost and about an hour to Dartmoor. Excellent place for dogs with 2 big exercise fields and an inclosed garden.

Mark was an excellent host and could not do enough for us. The accommodation was very comfortable, well laid out and equipped. We were very pleased with the electric car charging facility and the reasonable pricing. It made the whole holiday so much more relaxing not having to find somewhere to charge the car. Great stay in the lodge. Fantastic location and great for dogs with two large fields just a 30 second walk in a safe environment. Lodge had everything and was impeccably clean and tidy.

An amazing cottage with wonderful amenities and in beautiful surroundings. We had a meet and greet when we arrived and knew we could call on them if we needed anything ( which we didnt!) We will definitely be back!

Could not fault the cottage. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Owners all very pleasant and helpful. Southfacing enclosed garden for letting dogs out into or just for sitting in the sun. Artificial grass makes for easy cleaning after dogs. Two large fields for walking dogs. Short drive to good selection of shops, restaurants, takawaysRead more and supermarkets in Tytherleigh, Chard and Axminster.
