Tucked away in a rural setting within a 700-acre farm, this striking log cabin occupies a lovely open outlook over the surrounding pastureland. Offering the best of both worlds, the county town of Dorchester is only 2.5 miles away, where you will find a wide range of attractions including museums, cinemas and eateries as well as a traditional high street. Many of the region’s best-loved attractions are also close at hand, including the pretty streets of Abbotsbury, Cerne Abbas with its hillside chalk giant, Symondsbury village, Charmouth Beach which is a great spot for fossil hunting, the eclectic town of Bridport, home to twice weekly markets and ever-popular West Bay, all within 18 miles.

Set at the end of a long, unmade farm track, this unique property is accessed via a door to the rear, which opens into a stunning open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. You will marvel at the quirky construction of this room with its full-size log walls, whilst the natural timbers create a warm and cosy ambience. The kitchen area is set to the right of the space, with room to dine just opposite. A comfortable seating area with a Smart TV is positioned to make the most of the countryside views. There is a bedroom on either side of this space (one king-size and one twin), ideal for couples or small families to enjoy their own space at the end of a day spent exploring.

Wrapping around the cabin is a generous deck with furniture and a gas BBQ (April - October). Enjoy a sundowner or your morning coffee here, whilst admiring the orchard views.

If you want a quiet, peaceful, off the beaten track getaway then you cannot get much better than this. The cabin is stunning inside and out and the setting perfect for our weekend away. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and, despite the chilly weather, the view from the veranda was worth wrapping up for and enjoying a glass or two as the eveninRead moreg came. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you for having us! Hide

Perfect and idyllic, very peaceful and beautiful scenery, well equipped Lodge , very comfortable and cosy , would recommend for anyone needing some total rest from normal life , very assessable for wheelchair user with in the lodge but maybe tricky out and about due too uneven paths etc . Relax and enjoy.
