Get close and personal with your partner in this two-room den. Located in Highcliffe, Dorset, you’ll be staying in an area famous for its beauty, surrounded by wonderful things to do. The property is a studio with everything you’ll need for two people, neatly packed to save space. There’s a beautiful garden, and you can bring your dogs, too.

The first room is divided by a partial partition, so on one side you have a lounge/diner. The table folds down to save space, and the area gets plenty of natural light through the glass patio doors. To the rear, you’ll find a kitchenette and a sleeping area with a double bed. The kitchenette has a filter coffee maker, so you can have a tasty drink to start the day off right. Continue to the second room, an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower, perfect for cleaning up after a day on the beach. This property has an enclosed garden which features a dining area and layers plants in front of the high wooden fence.

Remember to bring your sunglasses and sandals for days at Highcliffe Beach, 3.5 miles. The walk there is a little winding, and you’ll get to see some beautiful views, plus you’ll pass Highcliffe Castle (1.5 miles), a Gothic revival mansion from the 19th century, which has nice gardens and a cafe. Hikers are sure to enjoy a trip through the New Forest, 4 miles, and anyone who fancies some out-of-season winter activities should visit Snowtrax Alpine Activity Centre (9 miles).

We had a lovely stay! We had all the equipment we needed and more. Thanks for providing coffee, tea, milk, and snacks. These were very handy. Thanks for also arranging a hose to wash the dogs and towels (we had our towels but its always nice to know there are others we can use). The location was great. - quick walk or drive to the beach. Compact but has been cleverly designed and really thought through and nothing appeared to be lacking. It was also very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Could not fault the den,it is what it is but far to small for two adults and two dogs.The atrocious weather did not help matters as there was no facilities to dry dog towels and clothing,no garden for dogs only a driveway behind two secure gates and neighbouring fence

The Chewton Den is a luxurious small single room apartment with shower room and every comfort and facility you could expect in any expensive hotel room. Chewton Den is compact. Everything is to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. The small courtyard is totally secure and a treat with plants and a water feature. A few minutes up the road to exercise our dog. 10 minutes walk to the beach and Highcliffe main street. A few miles drive to New Forest. A very nice place to stay overall.

We were greeted by the lovely owner,who showed us where everything was. We took our 2 dogs with us who also enjoyed It, playing in the enclosed garden.
