A modern annexe, embracing tiny house principles, situated next to the owner’s home is set within the beautiful village of Highcliffe and has an array of exciting places to visit such as Highcliffe Castle (1 mile) which was the summer home to Mr Selfridge, as well as an array of pubs, cafes, and local shops. You can rent a bike from the local council-run hire stands and cycle along the coast, taking in the fresh sea air and beautiful beaches en-route to Mudeford Quay (3 miles), which is the entrance to Christchurch Harbour. The edge of the New Forest National Park is just a short drive where you can cycle or stroll through wonderful heathland, and forest trails, catching glimpses of the New Forest ponies and other local wildlife. In the opposite direction, the amenities of Christchurch (4 miles) and Bournemouth (9.5 miles) are well worth a visit.

A well-presented open-plan annexe offering everything you need for a holiday on the South Coast. Stepping into the open-plan ‘den’, you are met with a lovely living/dining area with a comfy sofa, perfect to relax and watch TV, and there is a fold-down table and chairs for two, which are easily stored when not in use and want that extra space. A coal effect stove is situated in the corner ideal for those cosy nights in. Behind the living space, there is a wardrobe, a double bed and a convenient and well-equipped kitchenette, and a door leading to the contemporary shower room.

The property's enclosed courtyard is perfect for you and your pet, so venture outside through the French doors and enjoy a verdant tranquil space, complete with a lovely water feature.

It is extremely comfortable and very well equipped to a high standard, and has a very nice patio area for sitting out. Good location, walking distance to shops, restaurants, pubs, take-aways and beaches.

Alan was very welcoming and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely clean accommodation. Well equipped and lovely welcome extras, e.g. prosecco, milk, biscuits, teas and coffees. The owners have thought of everything right down to a little sewing kit. Lovely furnishings and very comfortable bed and sofa. We were greeted by the lovely owner,who showed us where everything was. We took our 2 dogs with us who also enjoyed It, playing in the enclosed garden. The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get out of it. We would definitely stay here again We would definitely stay here again when visiting Dorset.

Chewton Den is a fabulous little property in a wonderful location. It was walking distance to plenty of amenities, the beach being our dogs favourite! The owner has finished the property to a wonderful standard and thought of everything. Chewton Den, is a perfect little getaway! Its exactly as described a quaint den perfect for 1 or 2 people and certainly perfect for those with dogs. Its got everything you need as a base for going out or returning and cosying up watching a film. The welcome essentials provided by the owner are a fantastic addition.
