Take a holiday with your friends to Dorset. There are plenty of things to see and do, from fossil hunting to exploring the countryside. This property is in Wool, a large and scenic village and welcomes up to four guests. You can even bring your dog to complete the party! You’ll have a beautifully decorated home-away-from-home, where you can make memories, have fun and spend time with your favourite people.

Enter the property and head into the charming kitchen/diner. It’s the perfect place for rustling up feasts and enjoying communal meals, but start by making a tasty drink with the coffee machine. The room has a great view of the garden with the patio doors. Take your mug through to the lounge, which has plenty of seating and another set of patio doors, so you get lots of natural light in the daytime. In the evening, make use of the wood burner for a cosy feeling. The ground floor also has a WC. There are three bedrooms upstairs: two lovely doubles and a king with an en-suite shower room. This retreat is completed by a pretty family bathroom. You’ll have a garden for sunny days, enclosed with a wall so your dog can explore. If you’d like to dine outside or relax with a book, there’s outdoor furniture or you could spread a picnic blanket on the lawn.

Dorset is fantastic for outdoorsy people. The Blue Pool is 8 miles away, and it’s great for swimming and walking, plus it’s beautiful. If you prefer salt water and rock formations, take a trip to Durdle Door, 5.5 miles. On rainy days, you can visit Hardy’s Cottage (10.5 miles), a property owned by the National Trust. It’s the birthplace of Thomas Hardy, and the location where he wrote his first books.

Well situated location for days out. Tank museum and monkey world literally 5 minutes away. Dursley door and the cove 10 minutes drive. Shops and takeaways 2 minutes walk. Lovely cottage in a great location. So clean, well appointed and so many lovely little touches, such as cotton wool in the bathrooms (something I always forget!), loo roll, washing up liquid, tea, coffee and milk. Loved staying there, kitchen was extremely well stocked. Including separate washer and dryer, dishwasher ( don't open during a wash, it messes up), weigh scales, a dog bed, vacuum, enclosed garden, and a short walk to the train station. Really clean tidy and comfortable. Could do with another or bigger sofa.
